Crystal clear and orangy yellow with a nice white head. Good hop aroma coming off this and you definitely get that with the first sip. Dry and astringently bitter like citrus pith, and maybe a bit too much. There’s a lager like quality to malt which is to say it’s very clean and biscuity, and there’s not enough sweetness to balance the bitterness, but it’s still very tasty. Leaves behind that dry bitterness on the tongue with some lasting malt/wood in the background. Overall, a very nice American style pale.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle.
The beer pours a golden-orange color with a white head. The aroma is full of bread and some grass from the hops. The flavor is more of the same, with a lot of toffee and bread malt, and a hint of grass, citrus and earth. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Draught @ Manzanita. Clear golden pour, white head. Citrusy hops, roasty malts, something herbal. Medium body, decent carbonation, but again the beer is ultimately not very flavorful.

On tap at brewery. Light golden amber with almost a tint of green highlights/essence. Dense white head and thick sticky lace. Nose is very light yeasty malt high. Taste is clean sweet up front to roast/burnt malt out back. Long lingering bitter malt. Hints of honey and hay get run over quickly.

GABF 2011. Clear medium gold with a frothy medium white head. Aroma of sweet malts, caramel and toffee, and a soft floral citric hop tone. Taste was extremely balanced and fruity and complex. Really big body without too much booziness. Pretty hoppy with citrus and floral hops, with balancing toffee sweetness. Pretty swell!
