Looks nice in the glass with a big foamy-sudsy white head. And, that’s about where the compliments end. Taste and aroma are lightly piney and without distinction. meh

Buona Pale Ale. Profumata di agrumi ed erba. Ambrata e con una bella schiuma. Discretamente bilanciata nonostante l’amaro deciso. Corpo medio e giusta secchezza per una buona beva.

Twisted Manzanita Prospect (USA) - Pale Ale - 6.6%, 44IBU - 3.3/5.

Clear light amber color, partly hazed. Enormous white head, hoppy nose, resins. Aroma: American hops, citrus, vinegar, resin, lemon. Taste is crisp, stingy, tart, astringent, soapy. Nice blond malts in the aftertaste, light body, imperceptible alcohol. Sharp APA.
Descriptions says Hoppy -> Malty -> Bitter -> Crisp, that’s right.

22oz bottle - Aroma - light caramel and dried peaches Appearance - golden amber body, clear with a 1-finger white head, light retention and light lacing Mouthfeel - medium bodied, light carbonation Flavor - well blanced, but the balance is on the light side of both malts and hops. Overall - drinkable, a little bland. It would do very well to introduce someone who’s never had a APA before to the style as it’s far from aggressive

8 Mar 2014, tap at Manzanita Brewing. Yellow, clear, no bubbles. Nose is mild bitter pine hops. Thin body and moderately fizzy. Sugary granola malt with some pine hops. Ok. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

33cl bottle @ Il Pretesto, Bologna shared with Michele.

On tap at a fundraiser event. Pours a light golden amber color. Nose is yeasty and malty. Taste is sweet malt up front, with a bitter finish. Some grass in there as well. Better than it’s RB rating I thought.

On tap at Stone 17th anniversary party. A clear golden beer with an off-white head. The aroma has a touch of tropical fruits, with green pine cones and a touch of malts. Not much malty flavors, mostly bitterness, pine cones and some tropical fruits. Full to medium body, nice carbonation. Bitter finish. Quenching and tasteful. 130816
