12 oz. bottle shared by Keir at the hotel after RBSG’s grand tasting. Thanks, Keir. Pours a clear reddish amber with a small off-white head. Notes of brown sugar, toasted malts, and booze-soaked dried berry fruits. Some cardboard hints at oxidation. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, malty, dry mouthfeel. Not bad, but seems like it’s on its way out.

Tasted at RBSG grand tasting post-tasting. 12oz bottle with black wax. Canadian whiskey. Mostly clear red color. Thin off-white head. Good lace. Medium body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Light dry finish. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of creamy lighter carbonation. Light slick. Dark fruit, caramel, some oxidization. Some vegetal. Moderate sweet taste, light bitter, light spice. OK stuff. Not crazy. A lot of vegetal

12 oz bottle from OTM. Appearance is a clear amber hue with a small white head. Sweet pineapple with a caramel kiss is the main aroma and flavor. Some apple and oak follow. Nice whiskey flavors that have a pepper note build. Great flavors tasty beer.

Orange pour with a tan head. The aroma is full of toffee and grain. The flavor has some strong brown sugar and toffee notes as well as some oak, alcohol and spice. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Body is an Amber sunburst with a thin off white ring around the upper edge of the spot where the beer meets the glass. I like the aroma on this quite a bit, caramel sweetness with some whiskey whispers. Caramel rolled in brown sugar, whiskey and oak are prominent (<3), not as deep and rich as the aroma indicated but just as sweet and alcoholic, the strong alcohol is nice just needs a bit more richness. Mouthfeel is granular medium-dense. I liked this beer, if you like alcoholic barleywines you should go buy some.

12oz bottle. Poured clear, fiery orange with a short-lived, yellowy-beige head. The aroma picked up very sweet whiskey, bourbon, and caramel sugars with warm alcohol and a touch of citrus around.. big, bold, and very sweet. The flavor found toasted toffee, sweet caramel, and lesser nutty malts at the core, with peppery whiskey, tart oak, and a hit of citrus around.. finished warm with a lot of tart whiskey barrel and residual sugars. Heavier-bodied with low-moderate carbonation on the palate.. good feel overall, but a bit too sweet.
