COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Country Crab Apple Wine is one of our driest wines we produce. It is finished dry to bring out the refreshing tartness of the crab apple; it is even naturally loaded with anti-oxidants. A perfect wine to be served with seafood or white pasta dishes. Excellent with Shrimp Scampi. A wonderful selection of North Dakota crabapples includes dolgo and chestnut.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity spicy apple aroma. Sweetish spicy fruity apple flavor with weak hints of metal. Has a sweetish spicy apple finish.

Thanks for the North Dakota tick, GT! Pours a flat and very pale straw color. Nose is boozy and just unpleasant. Spoiled/rotten fruit, garbage, and urine. Very minimal apple or sweetness. The flavor is just as unfortunate. It’s at least mostly just watery. Almost no apple flavor, a bit of sulfur, some yeast, and plastic. Ugh. Awful stuff.

750mL thanks to Travlr shared at the RBSG Grand Tasting. Oh yeah. Poured clear straw with low fizz. Nose is urea, butter, stale urine. Taste is diaper, plastic, urine, paper, more diaper. Very bad- perhaps one of the worst drinks I’ve ever consumed, and that is the price you have to pay to get a North Dakota tick ;)

Bottle at the source. Clear yellow color, flat. Aroma of subtle dried apple skins. Taste is similar, with a slight edge of lemon and white wine.

(750ml bottle thanks to Cavie, ND rate!) bright clear golden, not much coating or legs especially given the ABV. Nose of apple wine, mildly bitter. Taste of bitter apples, acidic, but not harsh, crabapples, decent finish. Mildly acetic takes away from the palate linger.

Aroma is cranberry sauce, a touch of vinegar, and rubber. Clear still yellow. Very dry and slightly tart. Watery mouthfeel. Rather flavorless initially, but with a noticeable alcohol burn. Crabapple is especially prominent in the finish. I really expect more from a mead.

(750ml bottle, courtesy of Cavie) Pours a clear pale yellow body. Aroma of apple, earth, metal pipe, subtle menthol, and band-aid. Flavor of earthiness, apple, and white wine with a dry finish.
