Bottle: Pours clear, dark gold/scotch with a thin, soapy head. Scent is sweet corn, caramel... Grain, honey taste....bready.... Stale sugar, malt....Not terrible, but on the edge of unpleasant..... Still, a fairly strong body for a pale lager.

Elwood (3161) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - JUL 3, 2013
Serving: Bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a clear gold color with a small white head. The nose has a good dose of grain sweetness, but not much else. The flavor is mild with light malt sweetness, a touch of grain, and honey. Not much in the way of bitterness, but easy to drink with no offensive notes. Certainly better than Aris, the only other Greek beer I’ve had.

Drank rite from the brown bottle but I can see its just a pale lager appearance. Somewhat metallic aroma. Seems a little uncivilized at first for a pale lager. Yes, some bitter shit in there and I’m thinking this approaches the taste of a domestic cheap ice beer. Good co2 sizzle makes this at least avereage. Fairly watery in construct. Goes down pretty easy, but there still is this background mild nag. Not bad over all but a little less smooth than anticipated.

Bottle at the hungry Greek next to my place, drank from bottle, aromas of rice, and dust. Flavors are the same, light overall, not the best beer out there, but wouldn’t order again.

Bottle with Maggi and Geoff at the Greek restaurant in ybor the night before Hunahpu 2013. Pours a clear, light golden body with fizzy carbonated bubbles and short, frothy white head. Aroma is sweet grain, light fruity malts, very faint skunk and rice. Mouthfeel is light, carbonated and somewhat crisp. Similar characteristics in the flavor, very plain but not offensive in any way. A drinkable pale lager if no other options are available.

Bottle as shown. Pours a clear pale gold with small white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is a sweet corn malt and honey. Thin mouthfeel with a skunky corn malt and metallic finish. Not much going on with this one.

Bottle. Another beer that tastes like Heineken. Clear pale color with a head that vanishes. Not worth drinking again ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
