Pint of cask tap east. I can’t quite pick up the tea. More of a gingery, lemony flavour. Pours clear. Little head or lacing. Quite a treat.

great beer. bergamot aroma is balanced and controlled, never getting ’wild’ like some efforts. supple and soft in the mouth this beer delivers as much in the mouth as it does on its seductive nose.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from The Bottle Shop London and drunk at home. Clear dark gold lasting ivory head. Hoppy aroma with some loose leaf tea aroma too. Smells a little like my mother’s tea caddy with a load of citrus hops added. It’s a sweetish rather interesting IPA. The tea adds tannin and texture to the body of the beer. The hops on the finish are stingingly bitter. It’s extremely interesting and unusual. The tea definitely has an input on this beer. Flavour has some sweetish malt, then a balancing dry, bitter, subtle tea like quality. Hops are somewhat citrus. Fruit is sweeter citrus. Interesting. Do I like it? Yes, I do. Is it good? Yes I think it is. Can I stop asking myself questions? No comment. If I saw it on tap I’d definitely have a half.
