Loads of lemon, some grassiness, caramel, malty breadiness, some floral notes on the nose. Citric flavours, lacks a bit of malt balance, but some good biscuit in there. Clean & crisp mouthfeel with a biting, lingering finish. MesandSim (5850), London, Greater London, England

Woo hoo that’s a bloody good aroma. Massive Marble hoppage festivities. Packed with lemon, cat pee, grass and just a touch floral. Bloody excellent. The flavour just can’t keep up. The malt comes forward and meets the hop fest half way. It’s beautifully balanced, no doubt, but after the aroma, I was like a kid on Christmas morning waiting for Santa to deliver a sackfull of hops. Sadly he didn’t read my letters throughly enough and only delivered a half load. Whatever, I’m still happy. It’s a new Marble beer, what’s not to be happy about? Hop shortages that’s what. Just kidding guys, your credit is top. An excellent, balanced blonde ale with a really good bitter finish that is carried really well by some faintly sweet malt. Flavour is good, but bloody hell, that aroma is a belter. The first brew on the new plant (hence the imaginative name) and it bodes well for the future. Some finishing hops would have had me in raptures. As it is, it’s just bloody excellent.
