Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 23/6/2011. Near black in colour with a slight, off-white head. Chocolate in plenty on the aroma with a touch of coffee. Flavour had charred malts, plain chocolate and a dryish finish. Enjoyable.

Bottle 50cl bught on line. A dark beer with low head. Nose is full on bitter dark chocolate. Aroma is dry stout like with a bitter presence and a nice dark chocolate taste and aftertaste. Very long aroma which remains in the mouse, notes of caramel and dark malt, good stuff.

Cask, 5.5%. Weak coffee aroma. Black colour, almost no head, but frothy. The flavour has some chocolate, mild, not dark or really bitter. Hint of Nesquick or O’boy. Slightly sweet, but with a hint of alcohol in the finish.

Thanks bierkoning!
Deep brown color, not much head. Milky, cocoa-chocolate aroma. Light to medium bodied. Flavor has chocolate, milk stoutish, nuts, lots of black coffee. Somewhat harsh, like when coffee beans have been used? Decent, but too milky and harsh for me.

500ml bottle from The Bottle Shop, Canterbury. Black body lasting dark beige head. Malty dark choc aroma. Full in the mouth. Some grainy maltiness on the swallow. Very decent choc flavour. Fullness is good. I rather liked it to be honest. Good flavours, good condition. Wow. Drank it real quick as it was just so drinkable. Doesn’t taste of 5.5% ABV either.
