Peanut hulls, unmalted and unhusked barley, and orange peel aroma. Cloudy amber, medium sticky yellow head. Overripe apricot, maraschino cherries, grain, bread crust, crackers. Very busy and certainly not boring. Some DMS. Spellbinding complexities, neat transitions, good balance, one of a kind, but slightly flawed. Entertaining.

Sample at Great British Beer Festival 2014. Hazy copper color with a rich yellowish head. Really fresh hoppy fruity aroma, pine, mango, peach, hay notes, grassy, some passion fruit. Hoppy pine and peach flavor, grassy, hhay, floral, caramel notes, oranges, some biscuits, citrus and grapefruit. Very good.

Bomber from Liz. Pours light amber with a 3 finger foamy off-white head. Aromas of pine and grapefruit rind. Med body; frothy carb. There is so much hop it burns! Full of fresh pine and citrus. A little caramel underneath. Just excellent. Resin all over. Going astringent!

Composite review of tap and bottle samples. Currently the 22 oz. bottle is in front of me. Pour: clear golden body with large white head. Aroma: orange and grapefruit, caramel. Taste: quite hoppy without being very bitter, full of smooth and resinous hops qualities, plenty of juicy citrus, not many malt characteristics other than white-bread sweetness, alcohol well hidden. Aftertaste: more hops bitterness. Mouthfeel: a bit thin for the style, yet succulent. Overall: a DIPA that provides complex layers of hops characteristics, avoiding explosive bitterness in favor of a more deep and subtle experience. It gets better and better as you drink it.

Bomber. Poured cloudy (suprisingly)...cleared some with some time. Good carbonation and a medium head. Pleasant sweet floral and honey nose. Nice medium body and deep gold orange color. Good bitterness upfront-not a hop bomb-and a clean malty backbone with a sweet finish. Great balance. Would definitely get again (next time I’m back in NM...).

Leighton (11855) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 18, 2013
Sampled at GBBF 2013, London - Day 2. Pours clear gold with a modest, foamy white froth head. Heavy resinous hops in the nose with big mango, orange and grapefruit. Medium sweet flavor with rich and juicy citrus, melon, mango, pine, pale malt sugars. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Well and resinous to finish with lightly dry citrus now, juicy character, sticky sugars. Rich and hefty but very solid. Good condition, too, which is key.

Cask at GBBF, 2014. Dark gold pour with a white head. Tropical fruit, sweet citrus and caramel aroma. Juicy fruit flavours with a splash of fresh herb. Very nice, spot on DIPA.

Gravity at GBBF 2014. Poured a hazy golden colour, with a dense white head. Aroma of apricot, tangerine and caramel. Citrus and grapefruit hops in the flavour, with some mango sweetness. Finish was honey, raisins and grain.

Cask@GBBF 2014, London (13/08/2014) - fuzzy dark golden coloured pour with off-white head. Aroma and taste is tropical fruity, some medium light caramel malts, and toffee, prominent hoppy, pine needles on the palate, solid bitter finish. Beautiful.
