tap a few times and a few bottles as well-composite rating over the past few months. copper/orange hue with a nice froathy white head. floral, citrus, tropical nose-in the bottles its a bit more piney i noticed. i had it once on tap at the santa fe location and it was way more floral. Then, this sample i had at the brewpub was a bit more harsh/dirty hops. the tap version i had at the brewery seemed a bit off from the samples i have had before-the finish didnt come together very well-really maltless and had lack of depth whereas the balance was a bit better on the bottle and the tap from santa fe back around new years. A decent DIPA that seems to change from place to place. However, for NM, this is the best we have!

22oz bottle. Pours clear yellow gold with a big fluffy white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is tropical fruits and resiny piney hops.
The flavor is sweet caramel malts and tropical fruits with a big resiny piney floral hop finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and a little watery with low carbonation.
Overall, a solid DIPA.

22 ounce thanks to Justin. Resin and grapefruit. Nice orange pour. Good hop and malt profile Pretty much hits the style right without overdoing malt build.

Big hop aroma. Clear golden coloured and extremely hoppy with a pine flavour. A hint of dryness in a very bitter malt finish.

The pour is a clear, orangey golden color with a full, white, creamy, fluffy head which settles to a fluffy, rocky layer and leaves scattered, sporadic lace. The nose is a bit bland with pink grapefruit, black pepper, light florals, some pine, light caramelly notes, and some cracker. The flavor is similar with equal parts cracker, pepper, caramel, and resin, still some pink grapefruit, and light rustic notes. The palate is nearly full, nearly lively, oily, and velvety. The beer finishes with a moderately high bitterness, black pepper, resins, slight caramel, and some rustic lingering. Actually a decent IPA/IIPA beer; the fruity citrus and slight caramel added sweetness to the quite bitter, spicy, and resinous beer. The dryness was matched by spice and citrus to avoid any over dry beer. Not very familiar with this brewery but I like them so far.

Pours a clear amber with a lacing white head. The aroma is loaded with pine, grapefruit and pepper over a nice amount of bread and a little caramel. The flavor has the sweet base but is mostly bitter hops. Decent.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 nearbeer (3048) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 1, 2010
Bomber dated 10-06-10. Hazy, burnt orange with a lasting cap of cream. Nose of orange blossom honey, fresh grain, and juicy citrus. Light-medium body is a bit too watery, but smoothly carbonated and well-dried by the hops. Flavor is resin, grapefruit, Honey-nut Cheerios, and some oak in the long finish.

Draft (from notes). Pours a clear golden amber color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is big citrus hops that remind me of mandarin oranges. The flavor has the big citrus component as well with enough sweeter caramel malt to add balance. Very drinkable, more like an IPA than a double. Overall, pretty nice.
