Pours out a mostly clear, attractive orange color with a small off white head. Aroma is of citrus rind, bread, caramel and light cardboard. Taste is light citrus rind, bready caramel, light lingering alcohol. Would like to try a little fresher, had nice potential.

22 ounce bottle. Pours a hazy orange/gold with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, pine, caramel, grain, and grass. Taste is tropical fruits, pine, grass, and caramel malt. Lots going on. Nice.

Might be an old bottle, very pine forward and had a very similar taste that was rather rough.

Cask@GBBF2012. Ambery golden colour, small head. Aroma is fruity, floral, caramelly with some zesty, citrusy and quite peachy notes. Flavour is being quite similar in a nice balance. Hides the ABV very well!

GABF 2010, light golden pour (3-), hop dominated, little to no malt presence (as pointed out in the description). sharp resiny weedy hops. some what astringent. throat burner. OK

Bottle: Copper/orange pour is hazy with a creamy sand colored head. Lots of sticky lacing. Nose is somewhat muted, at least initially. As it warms piney and tropical fruit notes take over. Some caramel too. At frist the flavor is soft for a DIPA; caramel, piney, and tropical fruits. More pine resin... reminds me of Blue spruce. Seems like the hops may have faded a bit, I’d really like to try this again fresh, but it has a good balance of flavor overall.

Meh, this is a pretty standard dipa for me - clear golden pour - thick, lasting head - fresh, peppery, herbal, minty hop aroma start things off on a positive note - the flavor doesn’t live up to this - it might not be as sweet as some dipas, but it is still fairly sweet for my taste, especially in the finish - bitter but not abrasive - decent earth hop flavor - not too bad, but not stand out - a bit of a let down, since I thought their regular ipa was fantastic.

On tap at the brewery in Albuquerque, NM. As we prepare to drive to LA tomorrow, this serves as a reminder of how close to the west coast NM actually is. Very hoppy, true to style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz bomber shared by Pineypower, thanks Dean. Poured a hazy amber with an average to larger frothy super off white head. Aroma of honey and citrus rind, grainy, slight earth coming out, maybe a touch of dry molasses. Flavor of dry citrus rind, toast, and dry old hops. Medium bodied with average carbonation and a slightly creamy finish. This good but it seems to be a bit old.

Draft at Santa Fe taproom. Hazy golden body. Fizzy white head, rapidly diminishing. Aroma of resin, grapefruit, citrus and grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately to heavily bitter. Long bitter finish. Medium to full body, velvety texture, moderate carbonation. Too bad the bitterness masks whatever else might be in this beer. So not near as flavorful as DIPAs like Dreadnaught. Actually liked Marble’s IPA better.
