4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
I haven’t done any ratings for a while but i thought i’d come out of retirement for this one....What an amazing beer! Sat drinking this outside 57 Thomas st in the sun yesterday...the plan was to make the trek to Manchester for an American beer festival, after tasting Dobber though I didn’t even bother, just kept drinking it and then went home...I knew I’d only be disappointed if I drank something else!

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Heaton Hops. Pours amber with an off white head. Really nice grapefruit aroma. Starts quite sweet with grapefruit and caramel before a more bitter pine finish. Something is missing though. Just a little thin perhaps.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft @ Uiltje bar. Pours a clear yellow beer with a medium sized white head on top. Aroma of cannabis, vegetables, leafy hops. Flavor is bitter, vegetables again, some white fruits in the aftertaste. Nice in balance, not too bitter yet full bodied. Very nice, fresh hoppy influences. Good one

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
(Marble Dobber) Bottle at home, 500 ml, served into an english pint glass, ABV 5.9%
Mostly clear body, orange in colour, with a huge slightly off-white head, very thick and with great retention, leaving heavy lacing behind.
Very hoppy aroma, very intense. Citrus and grapefruit, very faint nuts, pine too.
Nice taste too, again very hoppy and bitter from the first sip. Citrus and orange peel, solid malt backbone, grass and lemon leaves, light cookie dough on the finish.
Medium bodied, good carbonation, very dry on the palate.
Great IPA, unexpectedly so.

Bottle from the hive with the new design. Slightly hazy gold, big whitish head. Fruity and hoppy nose. Sweetish grapefruit and pine taste, balanced with good bitterness. Nice finish. A really solid and tasty ipa, one of my favourites.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Brother Martin. Needed to cleanse my palate after the curious incident of the badger in the daytime (see previous review). This is more like it: clear amber with a huge head. Nice nose of grapefruit, backed up by bitter grapefruit hops. Uncomplicated and restrained finish but this is nonetheless a decent IPA.

Taste is quite sweet with fruits, toffee and citrus. Finishes mildly bitter and hoppy. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Overall, tasty IPA
