Cask; bronze, clear, no head; intense citrus aroma and flavour; soft pink grapefruit, some peach; moderate bitterness; smoot, well balanced despite the hop prominence and very suppable; an excellent sub 4 percenter to start the day.

Cask at the Euston Tap. At the lighter end of golden with a creamy white head. A fairly light and easy drinking but well hopped bitter, with citric notes and a pleasing bitter finish. Slightly idiotically I had the Marble Best before this, which was a much fuller flavoured beer and may have killed some of the lighter nuances of this one. Nevertheless a nice modern bitter.

Cask at Cask Pub and Kitchen, Pimlico, London. A golden coloured pour with a small fluffy white head on top. Fruity, hoppy aroma. Tastes fruity, slightly hoppy, SOME tropical fruit, slightly sweet and medicinal. A little thin for my palate but it is only 3.9%. OK.

On tap @ Marble Arch. Pours golden with a light haze and a nicely proportioned head. The nose has definite signs of generous hopping with citrus and floral notes coming through. The taste has more of the same but with just a hint of malt and minerality. The palate is light to medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a rasping clean finish. Overall, a well made beer which for my taste was slightly too bitter.

Cask@Reading Beer Festival 2012. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral and mild citrusy notes with some mild honey. Flavour is quite Simcoelike fruityness with mild floral and bready notes as well. Balanced.

Cask handpull, Port Street Beer House, Manchester, 22/09/12. Dark gold ringing with froth at each sip.Thick and perfumed with lemongrass, lime zest and lingering husk. Fragrant pissy aroma with ripe mango, lovely just-rubbed greenery. Comedown after the Magic at The Marble Arch.

Cask at CBC during my birthday celebration, London. Pours clear, vibrant gold with a fine, foamy white head. Fresh, juicy citrus in the aroma with pineapple and mango highlights. Light sweet flavor with fresh and toasty straw, lemon and orange rinds, and some sturdy hop bite. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Perfectly balanced. Lasting citrus and hay bitterness in the finish, lightly sweet with juicy and fresh citrus. Truly superb. Can’t believe it’s only 3.9%. This is world-class stuff.

Soft tropical fruit aroma, lots of fresh hops and a hint of pear drops. Taste has some candy sweetness from the malts, balanced by the hop bitterness, tropical fruit notes follow. Good overall.
