Keg at Crown and Anchor. Deep dark brown with red and a thin tan head. Big fresh tropical fruit aroma - mango and passion fruit. Tastes just the same - so fruity. Medium body, light carbonation. Slight coke taste too, not too bitter. It's really well balanced and very tasty. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Keg at Inn Deep, Glasgow 19/6/2013. Dark brown with a tight, off-white head. Chocolate, citrus fruit, camp coffee, red currants and a slightly herbal edge, before a moderately bitter finish. Enjoyable.

Very dark reddish beer. Not a loy of aroma. Taste is a sharp fruity hit which is followed by a drier, hoppy finish. A strange combination but it works.

Keg at Earl of Essex; dark brown pour with creamy white head, quite hoppy aroma with a hint of saison yeast, tasted a bit like a BIPA first drink then some bready malts, citrus and fruits.

UPDATED: AUG 26, 2013 Tried at euston tap. Strange beer to me, sweet but dry, fruity but funky, has very strange flavours I?m not used to when it warms up but I like it.

Keg at CP&K, London. It pours near black with a medium beige head. The nose is roasty, juicy, orange peel, toast, wood, spice and sweet aniseed. The taste is roasted malt, toast, cocoa, spice, orange, earth, lingering bitterness, perfumed, potpourri and a touch of alcohol with a dry, roasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Flavoursome and rather well balanced! Tasty.

Tap. Fluffy cap of a light tan head, on a nearly black body. Nose is fruity, a touch roast, earthy and pretty clean and dry. Flavor follows suit, and itís balanced quite well. Finishes dry and toasty, but not harshly. Strange but solid.

Aroma: Milk chocolate, lightly roasted malt and white pepper.

Appearance: Black body with a thick cream coloured head. Nice lacing.

Taste: Yeast, banana and a light boozy kick. Mild chocolatey flavours. Great balance.

Palate: Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Lively carbonation.

Overall: Lovely, complex Saison - or is it a Black IPA/DIPA? Either way, itís delicious.

Euston Tap. Opaque black - brown beer. Small pale cream coloured head. Palate starts smooth turning crisper. Smooth malt, just a modest dark character. A whisper of mellow dark chocolate and coffee. A strange candy fruits sort of estery something. Mild red berry fruits. Good zesty orange peel hops at the back end. Finishes light and crisp with the hops turning sweeter. Mildly bitter aftertaste. Coming over somewhat like a sweeter black ipa.
