Brewed with royalty in mind, no expense was spared in crafting our Imperial Red. Generous additions of our favorite hop varieties blend harmoniously with long layers of dark caramel malts.

Great beer with an amazing aroma that I detect strong fruity smell, floral, stone fruit. When you take a sip you immediately get the resin, citrus, grapefruit. Very nice beer.

Ap - 4 - This is a reddish brown clear beer that has an off white head that leave nice lacing. Ar - 8 - Nice caramel malts balanced by piney, citrusy hops. Very sweet smelling. Great Imperial Red aroma. Reminds me of GíKnight. T - 9 - Oh man, this one is good. The citrusy, orange zest, grapefruit hops start, with nice sweet caramel malt in the middle and piney, citrusy, bitter grapefruit on the back of the tongue at the finish. M - 4 - Medium-heavy, full bodied. Alc covered well. Aftertaste is bitter grapefruit and sweet malt. O - 17/20 - What can I say, this is a great beer. Itís about the same price/oz as OB Gíknight, and honestly, Iíd have to have them side by side to figure out the subtle differences between the two. Great imperial red. Iím glad I had it. í

Outstanding! Just a pleasure from beginning to end. Gorgeous amber/red color with cobwebby lacing. The nose is rich and malty with a nice resinous and floral hop scent. The flavor is massive. Bitter right up front but quickly turns into velvet...almost buttery. Then the hops take over at the end. Easily one of the best beers I've had in a while. I'd come to Albuquerque just to drink this again. Good thing Marble fills growlers from other breweries. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the brewery, extreme hoppy version of an American Red Ale. The 9% ABV is balanced and carried deftly throughout the swallow, ending with a huge drying, crisp finish. Once again Marble underscores its reputation as a "hop house" with this imperial red.

Clearish dark amber with a generously foamy off-beige head. The nose is exactly all that I am looking for in a double red: loads of caramel, loads of floral hops, resin, and grapefruit zest juiciness. The flavor is nice and malty with a strong malt-booze backbone. Thereís a rush of caramel and grapefruit rind & zest right off the bat, which blends into a floral and piney resin tone, with a semi-sweet citrus sweetness thatís also a touch peachy and bready. Very big bodied, with a lot of stickiness in both hop and malt tones. Itís very well done, but itís basically the same as Oskar Blues Gíknight, so Iím giving it the exact same scoring. And Gíknight is cheaper and in 12oz cans...

Really good with a strong thick aroma and taste. Aroma is nice and malty with a certain thickness to it...there is some good hop character as well. The taste is malty, caramel, sweet and rich with some faint hop character. It finishes similar to a thicker brew: rich, smooth, creamy, slight bitterness. Itís quite enjoyable...Letís get that game face on...this is what we play for!

Bomber - I donít normally jump on buying an american strong, but I tend to like Marble beers, plus their regular red is quite good - hazy light red - soapy lace - light caramel maltiness in the nose, but the aroma is mostly resinous hops, citrus, lemon, pine - medium body, slightly oily texture, moderate carbonation - flavor is more like an imperial ipa - the malt base provides a decent structure for the hops that dominate the flavor - hop flavors of earth, pine, citrus - bitterness is zesty, peppery, but a tad abrasive in the finish - some alcohol heat at the end as well - simple, but enjoyable enough - I prefer the regular red, though.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks DSG. Pours red to orange with beige head, aroma of hops, onion, pine, peach and lemon, flavor of pine, greenness, bitter and refreshing, medium bodied
