3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled. Poured medium-orange with a well-retained white head. The aroma picked up juicy orange and piney hoppage over caramel and light biscuity notes.. juicy, fresh, and well-presented. The flavor found spicy pine, pineapple, and orange bitterness over pale and biscuity malts.. a touch stale and oxidized on the back-end, but it did a great job until that point.. spicy, bitter, and dry on the long finish. Medium-bodied with a smooth feel on the middle and assertive bitterness around.. very good overall.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tasty, standard IPA. Nothing unexpected, but nothing off either. Citrusy and resinous hops, some caramel malt. Something odd in the nose...just a touch of hot alcohol maybe.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Hazy dark gold with a lasting small pillowy head. Amazing hop aroma of fresh floral resiny grassy hops, low aroma bitterness, and some dank caramel. The taste was nice and hoppy but not too bitter, like the liquid version of several hop varieties thrown together on a nice balanced body, with a small caramel sweetness, with lots of floral, pine, and grassy notes, with a hint of grapefruit. Sweetn finish, but still hoppy.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from a generous trader. Pours orange amber with white head. Nose/taste of grapefruit, citrus, florals, perfumy hops and caramel malt. Medium body. Finishes bitter grapefruit peel.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Thanks to knm for the bottle! Wanting to try this for a while now
A: Pours a slightly hazed but mostly transparent pale gold color with a big fluffy white cap. Retention is pretty good, not too much carbonation to speak of
S: Very resinous and very piny hops right off the bat...its one of those IPAs that spreads across the room when opened. Light grapefruit as well. Malts are kind of present, but don’t really have any significant presence, only a faint caramel note.
T: Very very resinous and piny...similar to Green Flash’s IPA, and other various West Coast offerings. Huge hop presence, not very well balanced but I’m still enjoying this one.
MF/D: Bitterness leaves the mouth a little parched, definitely a palate wrecker of an IPA. Medium body, carbonation is nice...only a little rough
Notes: I’ve read on the forums that this is similar to Sculpin, but I completely disagree. It’s missing the yeast in the flavor and the tropical fruits in the nose/flavor. Still an excellent beer
Thanks to knm for giving me the opportunity to try this!

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours out a amber/golden color with a moderate white head. Aroma is of light floral hops, citrus, light cardboard and caramel. Taste is caramel malts, lingering sweetness, some grass, light citrus and floral hops creeping through, would like to try a bit fresher.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
12 oz bottle marked with more numbers on the bottom then a damn bingo board so I have no idea how old this one is, other then the hop free aroma and flavor that is. Thanks pineypower though for another tick. Poured a
Great looking solid orange body with a larger foamy/creamy bright white head. Aroma is so muted I struggle to find anything significant, slight cereal grains and some orange notes. Fuller bodied with average carbonation and a creamy full mouthfeel, finishes with a light bitter bite. Favor Of older citrus rinds, grains, toast, some older orange slices that have dried out and been sitting in the sun and air all day. I think a fresh bottle of this might be better or maybe people in New Mexico are used to mundane IPAs.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. Lots of citrus/floral/pine hop notes. The malts are grainy and dry. This is a very nice IPA.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours deep orange with a moderate frothy head. Nose is quite fragrant fruits, orange, mild flowers, and grapefruit rind hops with a large amount of bready rich malts and caramel aromas. Flavor is citrus juice, citrus zest, bread flavors with a dry finish. medium full body and sweet at first then finishes moderately dry with a mild lasting bitterness. Pretty enjoyable IPA. I’ll add that I didn’t give this a higher rating because I’m not big on the malty and caramel flavored IPAs.
