3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask at Pelt Trader. Pours a slightly hazy gold with white head. Nice aroma - a sweet smelling tropical mix with pineapple and passion fruit at the fore alongside some caramel and a bit of dirt. Lots of toffee in the flavour. Lots. This gives way to fruits - orange and those mentioned already - before finishing with a decent, slightly earthy bitterness. Pretty good.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Beer Hive, Edinburgh
Amber, clear, bubbly rich frothy head, good lacing
Aroma - citrus hops, piney hop, soft resins, soft tropical fruits, good aroma
Taste - grapefruit citrus hops, zesty sweet fruits, nice bitter citrus zest hops, some tropical fruits, good fruity sweet pale malt background, lots of fruity hops, bitter grapefruit pith, great flavour
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, bitter grapefruit pithy palate, great soft mouthfeel and balance. Finish of bitter citrus, soft sweet fruity linger, some orange pith, dab of lemon
Overall - Excellent beer, really well balanced, great fruity zesty bitterness. Great condition for a bottled beer. I always thought this was inferior to Dobber which gets all the attention. This is, perhaps, just as good

Bottle from Birratrovo, Como
Golden color, hazy, with frothy head. A good hoppy Golden Ale, with more English yeast character than modern hop fruitiness. Dry and bitter.

Half pint at York Tap. Clear, golden, with a nice bubbly head. Bitter, well hopped, with a dry finish. Not entirely sure about it however, but still fairly good. Light IPA hop aroma. Drinkable but a little over-hopped.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle at home. Clear dark yellow amber, thick loose frothy white head with light lacing. Soft earthy fresh cut grass, light pine, some tangerine on the nose. Soft sweet malts, pungent waxy floral stuff going on too with a beautiful squeaky clean juicy grapefruit finish. A lovely hybrid of US and UK styles. Wonderful.

On cask at The Holy Inadequate, Stoke on Trent. Pours amber with frothy head. A very refreshing ale that belies it’s strength. In your face with hops and a good IPA.
