3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Smells drily hoppy, with a metallic rim. Bright yellow, with a ginormous foam heed. Smooth, thick in the gob, with a rapid wash of sunshiney, orange and pineapple hops. Finishes really dry, but that adds a peppery, cutting refreshment. Good balance, good lasting flavour. Not sure the bottle conditioning adds much to this, but then again what do I know?

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle conditioned, 500ml from Beer & Spirits, Knaresborough, N.Yorks. Cloudy yellow gold with big white head. This was a lively fella on the pour. There is a citrusy nose straight from the off leadining to a sharp, fresh lemony flavour, with hints of tangerine. Lasting and dry on the palate over a slightly sweet malty body. Good stuff.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
From bottle. Pours with a massive thick white head. Slightly cloudy golden colour. Strong lemony aroma with hints of pine and maybe a bit of peach too. Bit washing up liquid like but in a good way. Medium bodied with a lightly bitter finish. Extremely drinkable. Very nice British IPA, one of the best I’ve had.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Medium Gold beer with tight whiyte head and light carbonation. Asda Extra Special Lemon Cheesecake Yoghurt on the nose with perhaps some mandarins. This carries on into the body with some bitterness and a sweet mandarin finish. Quite thin-bodied in comparison to some IPAs but a unique flavour.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Peaches, malt, yet a strong hoppy palate - competing with the Manchester bitter both for bitterness and complexity. Slightly stronger than what some Brits would call a session ale - but this is very quaffable.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
0.5L bottle (5% abv) bought@Utobeer, London. Big, mostely lasting blond head. Body is hazy bright yellow with a golden glow. Smell of clean pale malts and fresh flowery and lemony hops. Medium malt body with a light sweetness. Still clean in the mouth. A fair amount of bittering hops. Citrus accented flavoring as well. Crisp and dry fruity-bitter ending. Uncomplicated and straightforward, and most of all, very well crafted. Super drinkability, too.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask at Euston Tap, London. A fairly traditional British take on an American IPA. Clear, yellowish pour with a soft, white head. Crisp hop nose with grass and straw. Light, crackery malts provide a mild sweetness, then a very natural-tasting bitterness of earth, hay and grass comes in. Light in body with fine to average carbonation. Clean, lightly dry grassy hop finish.
