3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Handpull at Euston Tap. Clear, bright and refractive slightly amber gold with a smallish lasting creamy off-white head. Classic golden ale - heather, honey, floral/grassy bitterness, hint of pear in both aroma and taste. Average body, decently low-level carbonation, slight astringency - really quick finishing and very subtle - a good one.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nicely balanced with good hop and citrus character, pleasant dry bitterness. Easy-drinking and more sessionable than its ABV might suggest - that could be a bad idea though.

Had this at 57 St Thomas Cask, gravity, Manchester it was also on the following day at The Marble Arch Inn had this in company of Loz, Baz, Jude, Kenny & Jenny 20.01.12 Really decent hops from the off, the mouthfeel is thickish and a little syrupy though the bitterness streaks through this to ensure that there is a decent balance. Had to rate on phone as pub was busy, and whilst I enjoyed this I have to say I was more in the mood for a Marble Pint which I preferred after a heavy afternoon of drinking. A7 A4 T6 P4 Ov14 3.4
