COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Note: It has been necessary to include "(NM)" in the name to avoid confusion with a beer of the same name from Marble brewery in the UK.

Our favorite aromatic and bittering hops deliver a fragrant citrus aroma and snappy hop character to this eminently quaffable IPA.

Jabic (431) - Brigantine, New Jersey, USA - SEP 15, 2011
Ar: Very resiny - grapefruit, orange, herbal Ap: Clear golden - big fluffy white head with great retention and beautiful lacing. T: Clean and bitter - orange, grapefruit, touch of spicy pepper - steely bitterness lingers long with a touch of black-teal-like tannins on finish P: Light bodied with medium-high carbonation - refreshing, though comes off a bit too thin. O: Bitter, hoppy, and clean IPA - very west-coast like with a de-emphasis of malt - overall, a nice beer, though a bit more robust mouthfeel would improve it.

UPDATED: MAY 18, 2012 Draft. Deep gold body with fizzy white head, slowly diminishing. Aroma of citrus, flowers, grapefruit, toasted malt, bread. The flavor is moderately sweet and moderately bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately to heavily bitter. Medium body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Nice bitterness, but not so much as to mask the malt flavors in the background. And not so malty as to mute its crispness. Some peppery, earthy notes in the finish alongside the grapefruit. Excellent IPA.

Bottle from Midtown. Pours orange amber with an off white head. Aroma of citrusy hops. Medium bodied with average carbonation and slight resiny texture. Very pale malt backdrop leaves way for a pleasantly aggressive grapefruity bitterness that carries through to the finish. Solid

12oz bottle from secret santa 2011. Pours a hazy yellow-orange with a white head. Nose is a light malt presence, with white and red grapefruit, lemon, apricot, and some grass. Flavor is similar and hop-forward with malt and grapefruit all over and lingering grass, lemon, and grapefruit in the finish. A nice IPA overall.

Bottle into a pint glass at Monte Carlo Package Liquors and Steak House in Albuquerque. Followed a wildflower wheat from the same brewery, which was solid but this is a standout. Nice bright color and white foamy head of tiny bubbles that don’t deflate. Aroma is light which may be because the head is so thick that the underlying carbonation isn’t totally making it out of the head but there is a definite citrus element. Palate is good but i would be ok with more carbonation. Flavor is total west coast IPA- lots of citrus, lots of hops, well-balanced and blended to perfection. I would guess that there is some Simcoe in there, too, but not according to the deScription. Man, this is a great find. I was a bit disappointed at the selection of the liquor store but who cares because this is great. Finish is hoppy, sweet, and smooth. Great flavor all the way through. The only way i could wish this better would be a hint more carbonation but that might take away from the smoothness. Get some!
