Our favorite aromatic and bittering hops deliver a fragrant citrus aroma and snappy hop character to this eminently quaffable IPA.

12 oz bottle courtesy of Dak. Pours a cloudy amber color with a big white head that has fair retention and ample lacing. The aroma is mild with light citrus, some pine and a bit of toffee. The flavor is biter hops forward with pine, grapefruit, caramel, toffee and walnuts. The palate is smooth and full with lively carbonation. Finishes medium in duration and dry. Overall: Good stuff--but, this would be better in a bigger bottle.

bottle at home 19Jan11pours hazy orange with a medium white head that grabs the glass and leaves streaky lacing all the way down. Aroma is huge citrus notes. Juicy wet hops, grapefruit, orange rind, some lighter honey floral notes as well. Flavor is creamy toasted malts, lots of sweet bread and crackers. Dry malts leading into an assertive pine and grass hop bitterness that is wonderfully dry and powerful. Really nice IPA.

On tap at Marble (from notes). This was probably the best beer over the two days at Marble. Pours an orange amber color with a medium off white head. The aroma was nice hoppy grapefruit citrus, hints of tropical fruit and a mild sweet caramel. The flavor was similar with grapefruit citrus, caramel malts, slightly toasty culminating in a moderately bitter finish. This would seem to be very sessionable if available here.

12 oz. bottle shared by Dickinsonbeer. Pours a hazy gold with a fluffy white head. Very pleasant aroma of juicy grapefruit. Very mouthwatering actually. The flavor is a combination of fruity grapefruit and some bitter pith. Moderate-strong bitterness at the finish. Dries out at the finish as well. Nice, solid IPA.

12 oz bottle thanks to Koopa for the bonus. Pours a slightly haze yellowish orange with a nice fluffy sticky meringue like white head- good lace. Aroma is nice citrus, fresh hops, light grass, good grapefruit pine and cedarwood oil. Flavor is oily, hop resin, pine sap, light earthy orange zest, cedar, almost woody hops but still good citrus light crackery dusty malts, and sappy tacky bitter finish. Fresh and real nice- somewhat unexpected. If I had access to this, Id buy this by the 6 pack or case depending on price. Nice stuff!

Pours a transparent golden color with a thin white head. Hop aroma is somewhat restrained but shows some good citrus character. Great flavors on the palate with a hint of caramel malt sweetness to support the robust hop character. Bitterness on the palate is well-balanced and quite pleasant. I wish they sold this in my area.
