12oz bottle c/o Elise. Deep, thick brown-black body. Steady, creamy beige head. Mellow, doughy brown chocolate aroma, a hint of coffee. A pretty solid Stout, rich mouthfeel. A touch of a charred, oily character to it, but overall sweet and creamy. An enjoyable beer,

Btl pours dark brown, almost black color with a thick creamy tan head. It lingers for a while leaving nice lacing on glass. Smells of cocoa, roasted malt, cappuccino and toffee.Tastes almost the same, chocolate, toffee, toasted malt, coffee and earthy hops. Medium body, creamy slick texture, soft carbonation and a smooth slightly bitter finish. A perfectly balanced, fantastic stout that is robust and full of flavor. It is so creamy and tasty I could drink this every day!

Bottle poured a deep dark brown w/ a medium tan head. Moderate roast aromas. Initial flavor is light sweet w/ a moderate roast bitterness in the finish of short duration. Tastes are molasses, bold roast coffee, and toast. Bold bodied and soft carbonation.

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2013 On tap at the brewry, pours coffee-black color, rich sweet, coffee, chocolate roasted malt aroma, full-bodied coffee, chocolate, raisinette palate, head and lace dissipate quickly, loosely structured finish. Unfortunately, the carbonation was too high and took on the character of a black lager rather than a stout.

Arrives with a brown tinged, dark tan colored head. The beer is a concentrated, burnt amber color that shows a dark amber, clear hue when held up to the light. The aroma smells of coffee, roasted grain husks, rich toasted dark malt character, and a rich dark chocolate character that becomes more noticeable as the beer warms up.

Smooth and creamy with a light carbonation that works well here. Up front rich flavors of chocolate, touches of coffee liquor, smooth dark malt sweet notes, burnt caramel, and a touch of burnt grain husk character adds a bit of bitterness. All about the malt character as the hops only provide a bit of bitterness.

A solid Oatmeal Stout, definitely a beer that is nice for when I am in the mood for one.
