3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Oakes (10202) - Gibsons, - SEP 25, 2011
Hazy amber. Thin head. Toasty with a light fruity hop character. Lightly hoppy, good toasty/biscuity malt balance. A bit shy, but otherwise a good pale ale.

Light pine-citrus hop aroma and taste. Amber-orange in color with a slight white head.

Draft @ brewery tap Santa Fe. Nice hazy amber. Looks like an English bitter in terms of the color and quality of the head and lace. Total cannabis hop aroma, though. The light body does not work for me. It finishes too thin and watery. The toasty malt is nice but the beer ends up tasting a tad oversparged. Fairly balanced and dry, but not brightly hopped. OK.

tap at brewpub-pours slightly hazy dark orange with a small fizzy white head. big nose of floral hops and lite sweet grains-not husky but very effervescent. quite a bit of hops in this one for such a small beer. however, the flavors show the floral aspects of the hops, not much bitterness. a very good session beer that i would drink a ton on a sunday while watching football. short finish due to the lack of bitterness here but thats not a bad thing. great session beer!

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear orange with a thick white head. Aroma of bitter hops, sweaty and grassy hops, bready malt. Flavor of lots of bready malt, less hoppy with mostly bitter hops but a touch citrus. Very good pale ale!
