3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask at Craft Beer Co, Islington on 30th November 2012. Copper with thin off-white foam head. Strong fruity aroma with raspberry. Fruity berries in-mouth; touch of lemony citrus and dryish spices, culminating in quite dry finish. Smooth but definitely not flat textured, and a fair amount of body.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap @ Marble Arch. Pours red to brown cloudy colour with a nicely proportioned head. The nose has biscuits, a hint of toffee but not sweet and a pine and grapefruit hop note going on. The taste is similar and again the toffee note is elegant enough to give just enough sweetness to balance the hoppy bitterness. A well balanced palate with bitterness on the finish just dealing with the maltiness on the start and middle. Overall, this was the pick of the hoppy ales on my visit to the Marble Arch.
