Taste the same. Then some sickening phenolic stuff. Too sweet. Not well-made.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a deep hazy golden copper color with a small half finger of foam that settles out very quickly. Aromas are toffee, grass and a big malty a touch of spicy booze. On the palate its a lot of the same with a very low carbonation, a bit heavy on the mouthfeel, and a very caramel toffee malty backbone that carries the fruity spicy yeasty saison flavors but keep them tucked in and the never really shine. Meh.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
750, corked and baled. The baling on the Marble 750s is always a little sloppy and tends to cut into the fingers a bit. Pours a murky medium amber with a loose whitish head and spotty drips of lace. Fruity nose, lots of pear and banana. Creamy medium body, carb could be a bit livelier but isn’t bad. Oranges, pears, and bananas on the mid palate. Mild white pepper finish. Bit of an odd duck.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Drunk at Cotteridge Wines very very good beer sampling party. Tasty saison. Saisons both intrigue and confuse me. I’m not sure why, that’s probably because I’m confused.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled 750ml (vPBF, vintage 2011)
Hazy orange color, steady white head, lace. Horse blanket, spices, winegum. Medium-bodied. Very spicey, hoppy, a bit alcoholic, fruity-grapefruity flavor. This is interesting beer - to love or hate. I liked it.
