Cask gravity at Reading BF 08. Slightly hoppy aroma. Black colour with dark brown edges. Intense malt aroma. That is a good stout. Good grainy choc and a lot of grapefruit hop. Just a great aroma. Intense flavours. Amazing and quite possibly my beer of the festival.

Pours a nice, dark ruby red to black. Small, staying, frothy, beige head. Super aroma, dark chocolate, roasted malts, soft caramel and light liqourice. Low carbonation, fine dry mouthfeel. Flavour is roasted, very dry, dark chocolate and English liqourice. Long, lingering roasted aftertaste. Nice.

Cask (Gallows Bird, Espoo, Fest2013)
Beautifully soft chocolatey aroma. Almost black, ruby glints, loose tan head. Much richer burnt body. Not ashy though. Full, but also very drinkable, body. Finish leaves you with a lovely mellow burnt roast - nice one!
