Cask at CASK Pub & Kitchen, London during Meet the Brewer on 8th Sept 2010. Gold with thin white foam. Beautiful ale indeed. Chees notes in aroma and exquisite grapefruit hop in-mouth along with a savoury note. Citrus grapefruit in the endtaste that is long-lasting. Rich, full-mouth texture. Very satisfying ale.

Cask at Amber Valley CAMRA beer fest Oct 2011 Nice light golden colour with good fruity citrussy aroma Taste dry and bitter. Didn’t live up to its promise really

On Cask at the Old Hall Beer Festival in Chinley 23/9/11. Pleasant but not stunning bitter. Pale gold with a small head, slightly hazy. A good nose on it, plenty of fruit, grapefruit, lemon, orange. Not overly bitter and overall, just above average.

Cask at Southampton Arms. Light blond with no head. Quite translucent. Smell is very fruity, bit citrus, bit kiwi, bit peach and bit lemon. Taste is quite fruity and not as bitter as I expected. Nice fruity finish with a bit of a tingle.

Cask (Southampton Arms, RBESG2011 Saturday)
Slightly floral aroma, sweetish. Gold, and a bit flat. Slightly simple bitter taste, pretty mainstream dull UK bitter. That’s not helped by the fact that it’s gone a bit flat, and is presumably a bit tired. I was underwhelmed.

Cask (handpump) @ Southampton Arms, 139 Highgate Road, London, Greater London, England NW5 1LE.

Clear medium orange yellow colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, toasted, light to moderate hoppy, flowers, citrus, overriped citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110731]

Cask - The Southampton Arms, London. A bright golden orange beer with a small & lasting bubbly white head. Sweet lemon sherbet on the aroma, some muted grapefruit, some creamy sweetness and a pithy back end. Generally similar to the aroma on the palate with a sweet pale malt body and ok citrus hop overtones. Not as bitter as I was anticipating. Light to medium body, soft & rounded on the tongue with a fair length to the finish. Light, fresh, quite delicate & easy drinking.

Cask@Southampton Arms, London. Golden colour, small head. Aroma is earth, wood, some zesty notes as well as floral hops. Flavour is quite similar, but ending in a rather bitter way.

Cask at the Marble Meet the Brewer event at the CASK, Pimlico, 8th Sept 2010. Clear bright gold looks. Nose of grass and citrus. Medium, very drinkable palate with a very long aftertaste of pink grapefruit. Definitely competing in the same space as Dark Star Hophead. This is all about robust dryness and strong citric flavours.

Cask at Cask pub and kitchen, Pimlico, London. Golden coloured pour with a slight white head. Pleasing hoppy, floral aroma. Tastes hoppy, citrus fruit, crisp. A pleasant well balanced summer offering from the excellent Marble.

Cask at the Marble Arch, Manchester. Golden looks with a smallish white head. Juicy fruit and hop abounded in the nose and flavour which both had a real shine to them. Bitterness spot on. Supremely refreshing and glaggable. Just about all you could want in a summer brew. Only a pity we never had much of a summer itself up here in the North West (again).
