Super hazey gold in color. LIght and refreshing with slight honey sweetness; super light, wheaty-sweet aroma.

Strange beer, this - hazy gold, looks like a hefe, but with a minimal head - quite a bit of wildflower honey in the nose, along with some tangy wheat notes, a bit of sweet tropical fruit - flavor is much less sweet than anticipated - there is some earthy homey flavor, but the sweetness is only moderate up front, followed by some dry, nearly sour flavors - a bit yeasty on the tail end - light citrus - finish is oddly spicy, but it kind of works - odd, but fairly good.

Bottle. Head is initially small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is hazy dark yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain, sourdough bread, husks), lightly hoppy (flowers), lightly yeasty (cement), with light notes of unripe nectarine, kumquat. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, slightly husky. Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation. A touch off-putting...the nose is sour in a somewhat unpleasant way, a combo of both yeasty and fruity sourness that, combined with the slightly rough malt, yields an "off" kind of dimension. Not much fun in the mouth either; syrupy and overly sweet without much to balance. Surprising, considering that the Red is fairly well-made.

Pours a hazy Yellow / Orangish. Not much head, but a great aroma of citrus and orange with strong nose of honey. Have to say the nose was a bit of a teaser. The true flavors were kind of disappointing. Tastes more like a blue moon with sweetener and a hint of flowers. Also not much sediment for an unfiltered wheat. If it tasted as good as it smelled, this would have been an awesome beer, but not so much.

UPDATED: MAY 4, 2012 Bottle @ home- picked up a six pack at Mr. B’s in Denver. Very uncharacteristic of me to pick up a six-pack of a beer that I haven’t previously tasted (update: I guess I tried it at the brewpub two years ago and gave it a 6/10), but I’m attempting to wean myself off of the $30 bourbon barrel such and such of the week beers. Their other products that I’ve tasted have been good, so I’m hoping for another winner here. On to the review! Hazy golden orange appearance with a creamy tan head. Spicy, sweet honey, potent yeasty, somewhat herbal/floral, wheat malty aroma. Nice so far. Tangy honey, somewhat dry, yet sweet and spicy yeasty, wheat malty, somewhat fruity flavor. A little cloying and the honey content gets a little old after a while. Not bad overall and honestly, I bet this could do well in a can and marketed at the summer, camping/boating/outdoorsy crowd. Nothing overly special but it is better than 90% of the wheat ales out there these days.

surprisingly enjoyable. Not typically a fan of domestic style wheat brews, but this one had an added layer of uniqueness with the wildflower honey inspired sweetness.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours a hazy straw yellow with a tiny head and poor retention. Smells is lemony and grassy. Also a slightly musty smell. The taste is fairly muted all around. A little bit of grass and lemon but nothing really stands out to me. Decent prickly carbonation. This is by far my least favorite beer from Marble. All their other offerings have greatly impressed me but this seemed to be a bit of a letdown. Just not much going on here.

Bottle. Not very good. Very cloudy with a pale golden color. Nice foamy head with alot of lace. Aroma very weak funk. Tasted like a watery wheat beer with a slight bitter honey after taste.

Draft @ brewery tap Santa Fe. Hazy ochre, scant head. Sweet floral aroma of wildflower honey and pollen. Nice nutty malt character adds depth and body. Juicy, tasty sweetness. Nutty off-dry finish. Not bad.

Cloudy yellow. Yeasty nose is footy, yuck. The palate is a bit funky as well, with just a hint of wheaty character. At the low end of drinkable, what with all the unclean notes.
