Draught @ the brewpub. Pours hazy straw with stable white head. Clear aroma of yeast and malt, with hoppy notes. Bitter, hoppy flavour with sweetish notes of malt and a good deal of yeast. Estery and bitter aftertaste with notes of paper. High carbonation. Easy to drink but nothing revolutionary.

Draught at the brewpub in Berlin, Germany. Somewhat hazy pale yellow/golden beer with a nice lasting white head. Malty bready aroma, cereal, fruity notes, caramel, grassy notes. Bready fruity flavor, grass, hops, perfume notes, quite bitter and turning into a grassy bitter bready citrus finish. Quite a decent beer.

(from notes) Cloudy, way cloudy, yellow. Large white head. No real aroma other than some light esters. Moderate hop bitterness, but just to balance the malt. no real hop flavor.

Had this at Marcus Brau Mitte, Berlin, Germany Friday 15th November 2013 Hazy straw/light gold in colour with white head. Fairly straightforward Pils with a light bitterness, sweet, light malty, sone corn. I cannot really get excited unlike Loz with her flaming Feuerzangentasse which really was fun. This is ok, a lot like many others today. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Vom Faß im Marcus-Bräu. - Blaßgelb, trüb. Antrunk schlank, zitronig-hopfenherb. Abgang gut hopfenbitter wenngleich ohne feinere Hopfenaromen. Etwas „grün“, aber angenehm zu trinken. Endlich mal ein anständig gehopftes Gasthausbrauereien-Bier.

Draught @ Marcus-Bräu, Berlin
Pours slightly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, cardboard and hint of butterscotch. Taste is light sweet and light bitter. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Tap @ Brewpub. Pours hazy yellow with a small creamy head. Herbal and hoppy nose and flavor. Biscuit and grass. Crisp and dry. 3,4. 2nd taste a few days later: Dusty and oxidized. 3

Apr 2011: Cloudy, murky orange body with a limp head on top, a collar more than a covering, even as the ’metre of beer’ arrived (a touristy metre of beer, 6 glasses each, of Pils and Dunkel, you could have all of one style or a mix). Refreshing and pleasant enough, without setting the world alight, a bitter finish and a fruity nose. More of a ’land’ or ’keller’ style in looks, even if the taste was leaning towards a Pilsner, it wasn’t your normal clear clean looking type. Been to the brewpub twice now, strange place, but fun and certainly different to all the other brewpubs in Berlin.

Tap. Hazy golden with lacing, white head. Nose is malty and a little dusty with nicely balanced noble hops. Bitter, bready finish, lightly bitter, light note of citrus, strong grain and lightly unclean. Medium-full powdery body. For its (relatively minor) flaws, still nice to get an unfiltered Pils.
