Draught on 27th September 2009 at Marcus-Bräu, Berlin Pale gold and hazy with a white head of foam giving some lacing on the glass. Citric and grassy hops are rounded by some pleasant maltiness. Clean tasting, refreshing and easy drinking on a zingy mouthfeel. Very reasonable price in the pub, €2.80/500ml

Tap at the brewpub. Pours clear yellow with a foamy, white head. Doughy biscuits in the nose with some dusty straw. Light to medium sweet flavor with a nice bitter off-set. Notes of crackers, straw, and mild bread. Light to medium in body with average carbonation. Crisp and sweet finish, lovely crackers, biscuits, straw and white bread. Short bitter finish. Solid. One of the best brewpub beers I’ve had in Berlin.

Blond color. Light green hop aroma. Quite dry, pretty nice maltiness (residual sweetness). Quite strong bitterness, partially aromatic. Balanced.

Draught at the brewpub in Berlin, Germany. Somewhat hazy pale yellow/golden beer with a nice lasting white head. Malty bready aroma, cereal, fruity notes, caramel, grassy notes. Bready fruity flavor, grass, hops, perfume notes, quite bitter and turning into a grassy bitter bready citrus finish. Quite a decent beer.

Vom Faß im Marcus-Bräu. - Blaßgelb, trüb. Antrunk schlank, zitronig-hopfenherb. Abgang gut hopfenbitter wenngleich ohne feinere Hopfenaromen. Etwas „grün“, aber angenehm zu trinken. Endlich mal ein anständig gehopftes Gasthausbrauereien-Bier.

[on tap at brewpub] Typical pils hops aroma plus some fresh apple juice and accents of caramel and pine. Cloudy light gold with a quickly dropping, bubbly top. Smooth with a generous portion of sweet malt and gentle hops. Low bitterness and quite a bit of honey. Medium body, moderate cabonation, a little sweet in the finish.

On draught at Marcusbrau, Berlin, March 2009. No ABV stated. Pale gold with a slight haze. Pleasant, easy drinking pilsner. Fairly thin mouthfeel but refreshing and clean. Surprisingly good for the small kit.

Literally stumbled upon this place around the corner from our hotel in Berlin. Cloudy lemon yellow. Funky sour lemon aroma. Tart crisp clean. Nice!

Tap. Hazy golden with lacing, white head. Nose is malty and a little dusty with nicely balanced noble hops. Bitter, bready finish, lightly bitter, light note of citrus, strong grain and lightly unclean. Medium-full powdery body. For its (relatively minor) flaws, still nice to get an unfiltered Pils.
