Tap @ Brewpub. Pours dark ruby amber with a small white head. Caramel, rye-bread, brown sugar and a bit of fruit. Smooth and medium bodied. Clean, well made and tasty.

On my second visit to this brewpub (April 2011) my little party ordered the touristy metre of beer. 12 glasses long, we asked for 6 of each (Pils and this Dunkel). The beer comes a dull light brown, with not much of a head. The nose was of toffee apples and sweet charred molasses. The taste was sweet, but very drinkable, smooth with a toasty finish. One and half glassses each, I had some extra because the wife prefered the Pils!

Tap. Dark Coke color with a lacing beige head. Nose of light roast and caramel, mouth adds dry and very sticky toffee and light mocha, man, pours on the sticky toffee. Faint hint of candyish fruit.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours clear, red-brown with a light, beige head. Dark malt nose with hints of bacon, brown sugar and smoke. Great, fairly dynamic flavor. Rich, semi-dark malts, pure brown sugar, toast, very light leafy bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish with lingering brown sugar, toasty-bready malts, very mild bitter notes. Exceptional beer.

Wandered in here with Parksy and Davey, didnt want to leave. Hazy dark copper, thick tan head. Aroma is incredible-- roasted marshmallows and dark caramel. Very toasty, burnt sugars, bold flavours. By far the best Dunkel I’ve had this trip.

Beer No. 59 on my tour through Austria, Germany and Denmark.
Draught at the brewpub. Brown coloured, small to medium sized pale beige head, hint of caramel in the nose. Light roasted malt, weak coffee and caramel with notes of brown sugar in the finish. Quite nice dunkel.

Tap at the brew pub, light brown pour, pretty light not a lot of life, the malts are pretty thin, minimal hop taste, it was pretty light not terriblely enjoyable

Draft @ brewpub Marcus Bräu. Cuivre, beige.
