3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
What starts with a light fruity tarness turns into a full sweet malty finish. Clear amber with a towering rocky white head, the sugary sweetness in the aroma belies the fruity orange essence throughout. Bitterness rises towards the later half of the swallow eventually moderating the malty sweetness at the finish. A fine tripel.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Corked and caged 750ml bottle pours a clear, light amber bodied ales with little sediment. Decanting left a huge, rocky white head that lasts and lasts and left great lacing. The aroma is somewhat floral and herbal, but mostly sourdough with hints of citrus. Initial palate is lightly sweet and develops a tangy, orange-grapefruit citrus flavors with hints of pepper and cloves. This is a solidly refreshing, effervescent and highly carbonated ale with a moderately sweet aftertaste and hint of warming alcohol. Quite nice....

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Moderately spicy, musty tangerine aroma with low but perceptible herbal, floral hop character. Opaque yellow-gold with pillowy white head that recedes to a persistent cover with decent lacing. Spiced orange-citrus fruit flavour is peppery and moderately sweet with some suggestions of alcoholic strength. Fair bitterness in the dry finish and aftertaste. Medium-light body with fairly strong carbonation. Tulip glass, just above fridge temp. Bottle (Half Time, Mar. 2005).

33 cl bottle. Unending white foam cascades over the thickly laced, tiny-bubbled bright hazy copper-amber body, gorgeous...zesty, sour lemon, bretty-cobwebby nose...pleasant balance of sweet caramel, sour orange, alcohol pepperiness late in the mix...easy drinking, pleasurable tripel.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
a striking yellow-orange, like an extract of broom bristles and mango sherbert. if itís tight weave of aged ivory foam was a blanket, it would warm a wet walrus on an ice floe-- itís that thick and snug. itís ghosts and goblins of lace dribbled in slow incantations. i abused the bottle a bit to jumpstart some of the locked-on yeast visible inside. to be honest, in a smoky bar room setting, the aroma was harder to raise than a company of riflemen for the afghan conflict. i could almost see the aroma as well as sniff it. i guessed and then tenuously confirmed the big crusty golden malts, lightly musty citrus and white wine. easier to commit to the notebook was itís carbonation-- like a sprinter, fiery at the starting gun, but tiring quickly. not a sweet triple, but strong, full bodied, with a lot of oaky white wine flavors. a generous measure of yeast speaks with a melon-fruit accent. like trying to speed-read a great novel, iím sure i missed many nuances. still, i hope i caught the drift of it: a nice tale of careful brewing that iíll eagerly revisit.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very nice and smooth triple. Dark brown, a bit muddy in apperance. Flavor is caramel, nuts and some hops. Rather fizzy but this dissipates quickly.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Thick-looking and umber in the glass, but with a light, white, and diminishing head. Some lacing. Aromas are woodsy, red wine, and hops. The palate of this beer is full, lively, and excellent served cold to retain carbonation. It is an acidic beer, with flavors in the hops and malt families. Also some floral notes, like violets, on the finish. A complex (and strong) beer. Very tasty.
