Bottle from Daniel for my christmas gift. Thanks. Pours out an orange color with a thick white head. Smell is hoppy, sweet, spicy, yeasty, some hints of lemon and citrus fruits too. Taste is sweet and refreshing, not much notice of the 10% alcohol. A clear saviour for the night considering the absolute mess that was Goose Island Demolition. Thanks for this one daniel, cant believe I havent drank it until now. One of the better tripels I have consumed.

Bottle. Slight big bubbled head with pretty nice lace and a slightly hazy golden color, but mostly clear. Aroma of spice and yeast, as well as a bit of alcohol. Taste is strong, laden with an alcohol burn and a slight sweetness. This is quite tasty and hits hard. I like it. Fizzy and medium body with a nice dry finish that exudes some hop bitterness and a nice sweetness that fades quickly into the bitter and then into the alcohol. This is a nice beer and well worth the quaff.

Large fizzy head from this cloudy, deep yellow ale. Average alcohol smell, despite the 10% Etoh. Medium body.

Bottle. Poured amber color with a huge fizzy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate tart fruity aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture. Medium fruity crisp flavor with a medium balanced finish of moderate duration with a small alcohol bite. This is a standout beer.

Bottle. Very smooth and balanced. Nice plum and malted richness. Aftertaste is good and rich. I like this beer and I would certainly buy it again!

Bottle, Cellar Bar, St Andrews. Aroma is sherberty, hops and sour lime, touch of caramel. Pours a hazy gold, huge white head. Very carbonated in the mouth, malt, some plum and some alcohol (not as much as other strong ales). Raisiny, sugary aftertaste, coating and sweet.

lagomswedish (213) - Umeå, SWEDEN - NOV 28, 2006
Poured from a bottle. Hazy peach with a white fluffy head. Instantly recognisable ’Belgian’ aromas - spicey, yeasty, fruity and sweet. The sweetness carries through to the flavour, with toffee/sugar taste and tropical fruits balanced by some peppery spices. This is a 10% brew where you taste every percent - leaves a lingering spirit sensation in the mouth that I didn’t like, dragging down my rating. Not a favourite.

On tap at De Zotte. Excelent Tripel. Sweet, with sugary/caramel taste. High alcohol-content well hidden. Nice colors. Somewhat bitter in the end.

UPDATED: JUL 28, 2010 330 ml bottle from BevMo: Hazy peach color with a generous white head. Aroma is tropical fruit and light spice. Flavor starts sweet and fruity becoming peppery and lightly bitter with a dry orangy finish. Medium bodied and smooth with lively carbonation.
