750 ml bottle - Whole Foods - Austin, Tx. Pours a dark murky orange with a thick, ever present white head with good lacing. Aroma has alcohol notes, with some date fruitiness. Flavor has some some sweet, malty accents reminding me of toffee with a bit of a chocolately back end. Smoth palate - 10% ABV is hidden quite well and it goes down ever so smoothly. A very decent Tripel.

Deep golden, off white lasting head. Yeasty aroma with red apples, coriander, wheat. Good carbonation. Malty sweet flavour wih a discrete touch of coriander, wheat and yeast. Smooth palate. Overall excellent mild tripel.

Drew (2411) - Kent, Ohio, USA - NOV 24, 2004
Glowing orange bubbly body topped with a typically huge belgian head that leaves thick clinging lace. Sweet floral yeasty and spice aroma. Body is well carbonated, but soft; sweet malts, herbs, pepper, fruit. Light hops and dry at the end. Alcohol was well hidden.

Rastacouere (6107) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 21, 2004
750mL, 1yr old. Initially gushing, though not more than 100mL is lost. Body is hazy shining golden with orange hints. Beautiful color actually. Head is creamy, foamy, 1 inch tall and lasting. Lemon skin, leather particles and high level of yeastiness hits up the nose. Notes of light grassy hops, herbs, ginger, X cereals bread. Big hoppy suggestions in the mid-palate provide a rather big grassy and tart bitterness, but are quickly letting place to a peppery yeasty and sweet finish. Good apples, petals and honey flavors. Great alcohol disposition, always apparent in subtlety. Could be a bit mellower as a tripel though, this comes out sharp edged. Still very good and an obvious cousin to their Duvel, if not as elegant and sweeter.

Bought in the Bottle from the excellent "Beers of Europe" shop near Kings Lynn This is a strong, mid/light brown beer. With a strong taste but not to strong an Alcohol taste despite itís 10%. Quite a dry aftertaste & reminisant of Duval.

very typical tripel. good beer, but not spectacular. somewhat light for a tripel, lots of alcohol presence. i wish it had a yeastier/spicier aroma and flavor to really make it a standout tripel, but itís really just average. i will gladly drink it again, however....

Very sweet aroma and a sticky sweet finish. In between, it poured a hazy orange with a solid head. Itís a warm drink with plenty of alcohol presence. Spicy and sweet... a lot of different flavors here.

UPDATED: OCT 30, 2011 Bottled. A yeasty alcohol aroma with spices and banana notes. The colour is a hazy copper and there is a big white head, although this doesnít last as long as its stable mate Duvel. The taste is gritty and peppery with warming spicy clove like alcohol. Nice stuff. Typical tripel. Score 3.7

Cider, alcohol, caramel, cookie dough aroma. Sweet with alcohol, the taste works well somehow, and the mouthfeel is great.

Thank God I found some Belgians in Portugal.Nice golden orange, creamy head.Fruity, malty nose and I would also say a spice note to it.Good combo of flavors as the fruit/spice turned out to be nicely done. Not unlike a spiced apple atr Christmas time.
