From the archives: Had a gift pack from Brussels + variety on the side. All beers in the series are well balanced and complex. This one is my favourite. From time to time, Mardesous beers are available in Tallinn, Stockmann .

Medium kullsyre. Ganske tam ettersmak.

Uklar brun farge med lys beige skum. Aromaen er preget av gjær og alkohol. Smaker gjær, noe vinøs og sødme. Frisk og kort etersmak.

Solid Belgian tripel. Body of yeast and malt, with lots of fruits and herbs.

The appearance has a nice looking hazy sort of brown almost orange colored body with a decent half fingered white foamy head that dissipates within about a minute. The lacing is sparse but light and speckles here and there. The smell is absolutely awesome - that typical "iced apples" smell I always get from a Tripel with some pears coming in nice and sweet and yet there’s a nice spicy tone that kicks in to just give it the right balance. The taste has a nice spicy yet sweet "iced apple" flavoring that just makes me feel really good. "Iced apple" aftertaste leaves with a quick and somewhat dry light apple-ish sort of finish On the palate, its about a light to medium sort of body that has a decent sessionable aspect to it. The carbonation is not too harsh and not too smooth, just an overall goodness for a Tripel. Overall, in my opinion, this is a very good Tripel. Seek this and you will find a stellar Tripel!

Très bonne bière belge, pas mal de corps, légèrement huileuse, pas très amer, légèrement sucrée. Des notes de céréales, d’orange, de caramel ou de sucre candy. Une belle couleur ambrée. Bref, un ensemble qui se tient très bien.

Bottle. Pours orangey, plenty of bubbles rising, hazy, a small white head which very slowly disappears. Aroma- malt, spice, yeasty, orange hints. Taste- lots of carbonation, full and creamy mouthfeel, tangerine, malts, plenty of caramel coming through, a long and bitter finish. Very good, not quite at the Duvel level though.

Thick clear beige head with strong cereals taste. Light and clear copper body. In mouth there is thickness from hops and alcohol. Quite warm but lacks some length. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
