This is a smooth Belgium ale without the sweetness of such greats as the St. Bernarus. Great palate and nose. Floral initially with hints of fruit. Great beer!

pours dark golden, slight haze, with a tall white head. biscuity, toasted malt, tons of malts, very fruity, fairly present vinous feeling, like white port, white grape and white cranberry juice, tingling alcohol. medium hopping - fresh floral and grassy hops. medium to full body, belgium yeast carbonation. amazing complex brew.

This smells like crisp freshly cut Delicious apples; wonderful. Looks nice. The flavor is also crisp and citrusy but lets a little bit of the alcohol through. Overall an excellent tripel.

I tried this beer on August 10, 2007 at the Biermarket in Toronto. The beer was poured into a glass with a small white head that dissipated quickly. The beer was a cloudy orange-brown colour. The aroma was a strong yeasty aroma with some perfumy florals. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with a fair amount of carbonation. The taste has hints of malt and bread with no bitterness whatsoever.

UPDATED: JUL 21, 2007 This is one of my favorite Belgian beers. Pours a clear amber with a lacy head very smooth beer with noticeable alcohol feel. Very fruity aroma that lends well to the flavor. I would recommend this to everyone.

This is a lighter, highly drinkable, yet complex and interesting tripel. This is deep gold with a huge, airy, off-white head that shrinks slowly, leaving some decent lace. Aroma is light fruit, grapes and grape juice, with wine, hints of herbs and bread, metal, faintly reminsicent of a maibock. The taste is similar, but more interesting and complex, with lemon, white/green grapes, hints of raisin, herbs, bread crust, alcohol, with a bread-grain aftertaste. Body is light but complex, zesty, lively, crisp, and interesting. it is highly drinkable.

Malty with notes of burnt toast, caramel, caramelized fruit, beets, sugar, and spices. Brilliant hazy amber (like butterscotch) with creamy lacing off-white head. Medium chewy body with medium-high carbonation. Silky. Starts sweet and sugary, with mild acidity and no bitterness. Fruity and sugary malts remain to finish, with musky grains and alcohol ending. Some bitterness comes along in aftertaste - a little drying, but for the most part, it’s a sweet and carbonic mixture. Definite alcohol presence. Pretty complex flavor. A very nice beer.
