chimaybier (50) - Redding, California, USA - JUL 10, 2009
Purchased 750ML bottle @ Liquor Barn in Redding, CA. Color: Deep golden- I like tripels in this color. Bouquet: Has aroma of butterscotch, mango. Flavor: Alcohol come in, but not too abrupt. Coriander, citrus. Palate / finish: slight hop dryness and deep mailtiness. This is one of my fave triples of all time.

330 ml bottle pours a hazy burnt orange with a bug bubbly white head that soon dissipates pretty much completely. Nose is bread, yeast, some earthy spice and faint banana. Taste has good strong caramely malt going on with a sour cherry note. Really nice mouthcoating oiliness and initially high carbonation. High abv shows its head in a mellow warm boozy fruitcake finish. Delicious.

djoeye (2241) - Tromsø, NORWAY - MAY 29, 2015
Off white hue, light copper near clear body. Scents of floral hops, strong fruitiness, brown caramel. Tastes floral leafy hops, vanilla, marzipan, brown malts, fruits. Good body, clean, semisoft carbonation. Juicy fruity caramel finish. Wild yeast perfectly tamed. [33cl belgian bottle shared by lmojoh, 10%, bb9/2016]

McNeillR (1644) - SCOTLAND - MAY 28, 2015
Hazyish golden, decent ringed head. Gristly sweetness, yeasty drag and quite decent sparkly banana. Firm enough carbonation and a soft greasy mouthfeel. Finishes strongly, lemon and varnish with a wonky bready spice linger.

T: -big floral and caramel notes upfront -spicy coriander -Banana -faint lemon -slightly alcoholic and fairly hoppy finish O: Very good. Flavour profile reminded me a lot of the Westmalle Tripel

Solid. However, there are better. The problem here is that there’s some alcohol heat/burn that I don’t get in others of this variety.

Pouco amargor. Equilibrada.

@ Hotel Van Belle, Brussels 150513. Bottle (375 ml) from local minimarket. Yeasty and fruity, malty and estery with light spicy notes, banana, sweet, medium body with an oily texture. The finish is dry and yeasty.

Cloudy honey brown color, big off-white head. Aroma of banana, yeast, sugar and alcohol. Medium to heavy sourness with same amount of sweetness. Alcohol is present. Some fruity notes, plums perhaps. Medium body, a bit creamy, soft carbonation. Not bad.
(Vrutak 0,33l bottle)
