Tap - in Maredsous glass. Above avg, off-white, fizzy head into clear light ambered hued body. Alcohol, light spiciness, light fruit (mostly cherries), light vinous, yeast are all present in the aroma. Strong sour notes in the flavor but finishes suprisingly on the sweet side. Some alcohol warming was noted. Good Tripeo.

Aug 29, 2008 Draught at Toronado, Haight St. San Francisco. July 2008. Pours a cloudy golden orange with a healthy head full of fruit aromas, orange, fresh peach, lemon. The flavour is slightly sweet, spiced with orange, citrus and breadiness.

does not count  Aug 20, 2008 This was new to Chimes last time I went. Since I liked the 8, I figured I’d like the 10. The taste of this beer is sweeter than the Maredsous 8, and the alcohol is more pronounced. It left my mouth a little sticky feeling. Not a bad beer, but at $8 a pint, I’ll stick the Maredsous 8.

Pours amber with a thick creamy beige head.
Aroma is malty sweet sugary, taste is again candi sugar, floral light malt and hops, notes of dark fruits such as cherries, prunes , raisins, after taste is spicy and malty.
I found the tap version to be a lot better than the bottled one.
An excellent triple, well balanced.

Aug 9, 2008 33cl bottle from Vinmonopolet. It poured an amber golden colour with a medium white head that settles down fast in the glass and leaves a thin layer remaining on the top. The aroma smells of fruits, spices and alcohol. The flavour is bittersweet and tastes of spices, fruits and alcohol.
It has a short aftertaste.
