4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 Wulfstan (509) - USA - OCT 29, 2009
This is a lighter, highly drinkable, yet complex and interesting tripel.
This is deep gold with a huge, airy, off-white head that shrinks slowly, leaving some decent lace.
Aroma is light fruit, grapes and grape juice, with wine, hints of herbs and bread, metal, faintly reminsicent of a maibock.
The taste is similar, but more interesting and complex, with lemon, white/green grapes, hints of raisin, herbs, bread crust, alcohol, with a bread-grain aftertaste. Body is light but complex, zesty, lively, crisp, and interesting. it is highly drinkable.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Firefly54 (57) - - JAN 28, 2012
flowery and slightly perfumed aroma. Fruity, spicy and yeasty. Lively mouthfeel. Not as much flavour comes through. Slight hops, some caramel, spicy and some bread. Ok but there are a lot of other triples out there that are way better.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 jvhemert (101) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 26, 2012
AROMA: spices, alcohol, floral, yeast
APPEARANCE: amber, clear
TASTE: light sweetness, medium bitterness
PALATE: full body, slick feel, lively, bittersweet aftertaste
OVERALL: strong beer, interesting notes, but too strong and too much carbonation. Prefer the 8.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 AndresTM (130) - Texas, USA - JAN 25, 2012
An amber-colored beer with some cloudiness and a bone-colored, almost white, head, which grows quite a bit and stays surprisingly long for a 10% beer. The aroma is mainly of spices, orange peel, yeast, and a bit of alcohol. Nothing too outstanding in my opinion but pleasant nonetheless. The taste follows these notes, being a bit bitter and a bit sour as well. The immediate aftertaste is dry, but after a while your palate gets coated with a sweet, fresh, fruity sensation that I find extremely pleasant. It’s a heavy, exhausting beer, though.
