thanks kevin! / bomber (my bottle is nothing like the bottle in the pic as of this date) duvel tulip glass / big white airy then marshmallowy head. seemingly thick body, golden straw colour. the flavor is vinous, florally, and bittersweet. the palate is a bit sharp for me. reminds me of an abbey in its champagne spritziness and exotic beer-like bittering and malts, but there’s something lacking. it’s a good beer, though. from memory, i think i prefer corsendonk. on a second, and delayed, thought, i prefer--in some sense-- two brothers bare tree weiss wine 2003. hmm.

Oct 15, 2008 Pours a medium dark cloudy golden/yellow with a white foamy head. Aromas of spices and fruit. Some of the spiced aromas come into the flavor with hints of fruit. Alcohol is noticeable. Semi sweet. Mouth feel is a little stringy. Pretty tasty and pleasing all around but the alcohol is almost dominant amongst other flavors.

Oct 15, 2008 750 ml bottles pours to orange/brown bottle with nice head that lasts and clings to the glass. Smell fairly week for a tripel (but perhaps I have cold). Taste is nice ,nothing special for a tripel, but enjpyable. Hints of alcohol warm the belly. Palate is nice bit it leaves a somewhat chalky mouthfeel afterwards. Slightly disappointing.

Oct 11, 2008 Poured a hazy orange/brown with a stable foamy off-white head. Aroma was not too strong, but mainly of fruit and some Carmel. Flavor was pretty unremarkable. Some fruity notes with caramel and a hint of yeast. Not as smooth or as much yeast flavor as other Belgians. The alcohol is pretty well hidden however, so it is very drinkable. Overall pretty good, but there are more flavorful tripels out there.

Pours an clear orange colour, very well carbonated, with a good size head, didn’t have the proper glass, but the same type so I imagine it won’t make much of a difference.
Can definetly recognize caramel in the scent, but also vaguely some fruits are in the mix, though very hard to detect.
Very strong flavour, with a bit too much alcohol to it. Nonetheless has a good flavour with yet again a dominance of caramel.
Pretty good abbey tripel, but could do with less alcohol flavour to it.

Oct 5, 2008 (Bottle). Medium-sweet fruit aroma. Clear light copper color, huge off-white foamy head. Flavor is delicious fruits and herbs, medium carbonation, very light finish. This is a powerful beer, but with the alcohol well disguised; caution required!
