Hangover (689), Atlanta, USA Dec 6, 2007 Slighly murky orange pour with a soapy white head. Strong, fruity, citrus aroma with some yeast and a bit of alcohol. Nicely carbonated, full bodied. This one is strong and tasty. Lots of earthy flavors, some floral notes and a sweetness that is intense, but far from overpowering. Esters and alcohol linger into the finish. Warming aftertaste. Great!
matt7215 (626), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada Nov 26, 2008 330 ml bottle from an LCBO gift pack. best before march 2011.
pours deep clear golden with an everlasting white head that lingers and laces.
aroma of alcohol, yeast, pale belgian malts, hops.
flavour. soft and sweet up front with the yeast aspects in the middle and a long bitter hoppy finish.
not a bad triple just not the best.
id buy it if it were availible in singles.
kempicus (216), Wellington, New Zealand Nov 21, 2008 Was looking forward to this after reading about it in the ’protz’ book but it didn’t set the world on fire for me....in fact i didn’t finish it and i poured myself a stonecutter instead. I got some vanilla in the nose and flavour to start with but then the alcohol kicked in and dominated. yalnikim (676), Wellington, New Zealand Nov 19, 2008 Tasted 01/11/2008, 330ml bottle from Regionals. Would make a nice dry, bitter tripel if it didn’t have such an overpowering aroma and flavour of alcohol. Like someone dropped some a little Jagermeister in an imperial version of Moa Original. Didn’t do it for me. IrishBoy (2209), Bakersfield, California, USA Nov 17, 2008 750 from Country Club Liquors! Nose of caramel, yeast, candi sugar, and clovey spiciness; cloudy copper with a big yellow-biege, glass-lacing head;flavor is caramel, light alcohol warmth, yeastiness, and light sweetness and contrasting bitterness. terrybail (181), , Ontario, Canada Nov 15, 2008 330ml bottle gift pack from the LCBO
