Nekronos (2243), Xalapa, Mexico Nov 7, 2009 Veyr nice, very sweet in aroma, with that orange and clove aftertastes I like. rds (224), USA Nov 6, 2009 Hazy, tawny brew with modest white head, crisp scnet revealing fruit, but not citrus fruit, and a bit of spice, full flavor, a little sweet, but not too sweet. Beerdedone (1873), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 25, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear golden yellow with a fluffy white head. Light malt aroma with belgian yeast, grass and some light spices. Flavor has a soft sweetness with light fruit, yeast and a touch of spice. Decent brew ilovedarkbeer (1326), Dallas, Texas, USA Oct 24, 2009 Pours a golden straw color that is clear and has visible rising bubbles. Head is foamy and white and rapidly shrinks. Aroma is fruity, (pears, with a hint of citrus) some spice and wheat. Taste is about the same and sort of salty and grainy with a slightly bitter finish. Mouthfeel is lively and slightly acidic and foamy. Medium finish. No real wow factor.
Whoa this is delicious with candy corn. alobar (1006), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 18, 2009 Straw yellow color with a thick white head. Aroma of pear, clove, and orange. Smooth. Taste of spice, pear, orange, and yeast. Good beer. TheBeerOrg (1563), Kentucky, USA Oct 12, 2009 Pours dark golden with a mostly receding off-white head. Notes of pear, honey, melon, cotton candy. Full bodied and lightly sticky with lush carbonation. Very nice. playitbybeer (48), San Diego, California, USA Oct 2, 2009 Sweet beer, pours an orange amber color with a white head. Smells sickly sweet and spicy with alcohol underneath. Taste is more of the same, sweet sugar up front but somehow dry as it drops down your throat, with a warming alcohol finish. Leaves your mouth a funk riddled swampland...and not in a good way. Too many different spices and moldy orange peel, everything gets muddled together. judasbeer (229), Budapest, Hungary Sep 28, 2009 Slightly hazy, golden color with nice creamy, white head. Medium sweet aroma with vanilla, pear and some spices.
The flavor is much more dry what you’d expect, almost salty dry, but i enjoyed it. If you like sweet belgian blonds like Leffe you’ll
be disappointed.
