3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Terminus (2538) - Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA - APR 1, 2010
bottle-clear orange with a foamy big bubble white head. wierd nose-wet grains, earthy malts, dirty yeast, slight ashy note, and lite fruit. flavors exhibit the dirty/earthy malts and wierd yeast but nothing much else going on. the beer seemed a bit aged, but i dont think this would have been much better fresh. seems to be poorly put together in terms of its malt and/or attenuation. palate is bubbly with strong carbonation. long musty grain finish. not great and not what i was expecting.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 beer4eternity (197) - Tauranga, NEW ZEALAND - MAR 28, 2010
330ml bottle. Unclear, light amber coppery hue, large off-white beach froth/foamy head becomes small creamy well retained head, good lacing Wonderful complex of fruity yeasty spicy malty aromas some marzipan - yummy. Taste is moderately sweet moderately bitter, is there a faint saltiness and sourness in there? Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, warm bittersweet finish of long duration. With such beautiful aromas and such an agreeable flavour I had to take time to savour this as it went down so easily and smoothly, very more-ish.

Pours a medium gold, with a little hazeyness. Small white head with some lacing. Aroma is spicey, citrus(orange), yeast and some bubblegum. Taste is sweet and spicey, light and airy mouthfeel. Found this brew to be very drinkable and solid.

Bottle, 10C. Pours rose gold with a coating light beige head. Mild aroma of fruit (pears, pineapple), hard spices (cloves, star anise, white pepper) and yeast. Tastes slightly syrupy sweet with fruity malt and a mild spicy hop and hazelnut finish. Not one of those great mysterious Belgians, just a solid beer.
