Pours well; medium sized head, thick text and lacing. Cloudy light toffee in colour with heavy duty solids evident. Mild nose, a thread of spice and some more noticeable malt sweetness, almost fruity. Palate is elegant as well. Classic blond beer flavours don’t come on in a huge way, the spice and coriander is mild as best, but the beer is well structured and shows good balance. Despite the 6% this would work as a summer session style, a claim you can’t often make about beers of the same ilk.

Anyway the citrus notes notes make it a interesting beer. Fukito (604), Buenos Aires, Argentina

Bottle - May 2006
Pours a rather opaque golden color with a fluffy white head (not big at all for a belgian). Aroma is sweet, yeast, rather spicy, gentle. Taste is malty, bittersweet, light and rather dry, medium palate with soft but vivid carbonatation.
Aftertaste is short and subtle.
A fine belgian golden ale. Quinten (974), zaandam, Netherlands

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Mar 27, 2006 Deep cloudy unfiltered pour. Rusty orange colour. Nice thick head with tons of lacing. Extremely appealing. Scent very hard to pick up. The bar atmosphere probably didn’t help. Very spicy and unqiue taste. Link no other beer I have had, feels like ’the colonols 11 herbs and spices’ an odd mixed. Aftertase just as unique. bluevegie (2231), Perth, Australia
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 18, 2006 Dull light brown body, white head and big chunks of yeast in the bottom of the glass. Caramel first up in the nose then some orange. Smooth taste, can’t notice the alcohol, medium body, a touch of caramel once again along with mandarin and a little banana. Drinks all right, a little sweet for me without doing much else but just doesn’t really turn me on too much. MrManning (1662), London, Ontario, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 8, 2006 Bottle at Chaucer’s Pub- Sparkling gold pour with a large froth of white cloud sitting a top, good belgian lace. Huge bready aroma accompanied with spices, banana, and hops. Good sweet bready flavours, with a nice hops bitterness, and fruit in the finish. Fairly tripel-ish. Warming, with ABV failry noticable. Ist gut.
