cloudy dirty golden with a 1/2" persistent head and good lacing. A little understated for a Belgian Ale, but very well done. This is another of those Abbey Ales that may not overpower, but that is lacking nothing. The sweet roasted caramel malt, the light bittering, the emerging full body malt at the finish...all there, and well done.

Pours a hazy deep orange with a huge foamy head that stay a long time and quite a nice amount of foam stay until the end. Aroma is of fruity malts. Flavors are dry and fruity with good malts some vanillas and brown sugars, bitter and a little sweet and sour but very well balanced. Very very good beer, I love the whole Maredsous family.

330ml bottle. Unclear, light amber coppery hue, large off-white beach froth/foamy head becomes small creamy well retained head, good lacing Wonderful complex of fruity yeasty spicy malty aromas some marzipan - yummy. Taste is moderately sweet moderately bitter, is there a faint saltiness and sourness in there? Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, warm bittersweet finish of long duration. With such beautiful aromas and such an agreeable flavour I had to take time to savour this as it went down so easily and smoothly, very more-ish.

11.2 oz bottle, best before 06 2011. Slightly chilled.
Pours into my tulip a clear, pale amber with a big, billowing, foamy off-white head. As it recedes it does leave some very nice lacing.
Smell is prototypical Belgian pale It has a nice graininess, but also a fragrant yeast twang. It is mostly fruity, with a tiny hint of hoppy spice.
The flavor is the same with more fruit, more twang, and a slight alcoholic tinge. The hops linger over the rest of the beer with a nice subtlety.
It is a solid pale ale, one that I would go back to, and one that s fairly cheap as well.

Pours a medium gold, with a little hazeyness. Small white head with some lacing. Aroma is spicey, citrus(orange), yeast and some bubblegum. Taste is sweet and spicey, light and airy mouthfeel. Found this brew to be very drinkable and solid.

330ml bottle. A cloudy yellow-orange body with a medium white head, quick dissipation,
Nose is yeasty, as you would expect from a true Belgian, orange peel, hops, nutmeg, nice spiciness.
Taste is of course yeasty, a little spicy, hint of hops, nutmeg, brown sugar, a little lighter than expected. It’s carbonated like champagne.
Very nice, Belgian nice.

Clear amber, no visible bubbles. Large rocky head stays.
Aroma sweet, banana.
Sour banana taste, some champagne, slightly dry aftertaste.
Slightly thin with carbonation.
Lacks a bit in complexity but a very nice drink.

Smaak: Fris en licht bittere afdronk. Redelijk wat koolzuur

33cl bottle. Pours an orange, golden with a small white head. Nose : Floral notes, honey. Malty. Sip : Foamy body with tingling carbonation. Sweet floral honey like. Medium bitter. Ending with distinctive caramel malt feeling. Overall : It’s not a bad refreshment after all. Thanks to a good carbonation the hops come back after a nice sip. Aftertaste is a mix of deep background malt sweetness but the floral and bitter hops are playing the main role.
