Skidds (178), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada May 5, 2008 Pours a cloudy orange with iff white head. Spicy, citrus and clove taste + aroma. Went down smooth. I’m happy to have tried it.
The_Jester (474), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Aug 9, 2008 330 mL bottle. (bb 10/2009). Brown with an excellent head. The aroma is very fruity, like those cans of chopped fruit in syrup my kids like, with some spice at the end. The taste is quite fruity as well, although much more delicate than the aroma. The sweetness becomes more pronounced as the beer warms. No alcohol is apparent. The beer has a dryish, slightly bitter finish, and a medium body. I’ll try this one again. Borresteijn (509), Amstelveen, Netherlands Aug 7, 2008 Bottle & tap @ De Geuzen. Golden/amber colour, thick white head. Nose of sour apples and hops. Flavour is soft, not too sweet, a bit malty, grass and hops, a little sour. Spritzy mouthfeel. Nice one to start off the evening. Tastes la bit like a lighter version of Duvel. Gusgus (106), Tanumshede, Sweden Jul 30, 2008 Bottle. Pours light amber-orange with thick head. Yeasty and doughy. Slightly sour with fruity notes of apples and pears. A hint of phenolics. Medium to light body with some sweetness from malt. Again slightly sour with apple and pear notes. Just a hint of phenolics and finished with a bitter yeast-alcohol bite. Sour sweet aftertaste. BoBoChamp (635), Gent, Belgium Jul 20, 2008 33cl, from De Hopduvel Gent, easy to drink, not complex, clear, good head, simpel brew RomanW70 (284), Providence, Rhode Island, USA Jul 15, 2008 Had at Bierpassion in Antwerp on June 20.
