Delious dubbel from Moortgat brewery. Nice dark colour steady foam also from draught. Nice rasted malts, not too sweet(like most dubbels), nice roasted and hoppy aftertaste. Good for cooking too.

Also a lovely beer. Pours dark bronze, with caramel and nut flavours. Goes down smooth.

Approximately 8-year old bottle from the cellar of a very kind Belgian dentist. A nice, welcome sound of co2 escaping on popping the cap. Poured with a decent head and good clarity. Instant aroma of raisins and port with a complex and rich flavor. Vanilla, madeira, stewed fruits, and caremel. Surprisingly well aged with good mouthfeel and a touch of sweetness.

(Bottle 33 cl) Dark amber or light brown if you prefer, but it’s the head that’s the real treat with this: brownish, fat, almost cream-like leaving a beautiful lacing. Some caramel and nuts in the flavour but very well balanced - not too heavy, not too sweet. Not overly complex but rather nice. 080298

Beautiful amber color. Very nice caramel aroma, mature. Too dry and thin flavor, loses immediately of interest; just some caramel, a bit cheesy.

This Belgian Blond poured a light orange colour with a fizzy/spore like head. Lots of yeast scents to this one. With a little orange citrus thrown in. Slight peppery smell. Initial sip was overcarbonated. The taste started out tasting not overly yeasty compared to other belgians I've had but that was the predominent flavour here. The finish was pretty much the same with a palate that had a small amount of the orange citrus and almost a strange continuation of the carbonation. Not a bad Belgian.

You have to love those Belgain spices. Has a nice amount of lacing from a snifter. Has a finish like a tripel.
