Ungstrup (11683), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 26, 2003 The aroma is sweet licorice with a note of sourness - probably from the brewing cereal. The color is dark brown and it has a light brown very fast disappearing head. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of licorice, caramel and some sourness from the brewing cereal. The body is quite thin for a Danish hvidtøl. Definately not the best hvidtøl. Papsoe (11030), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 11, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Lovely "Hvidtøl" from Maribo. Dark, slightly reddish with a small, beige head. Pronounced maltiness, sweet but well-balanced by some hops in the finish. Rather yummy actually. 270100 yespr (7777), Copenhagen O, Denmark Sep 2, 2007 33 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a red hue and creamy light brown head. Dry and slight roasted malt aroma. Flavour has some sweetness but is more dry malty than other hvidt oel brews. Slight watery finish. joergen (6812), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 12, 2005 Bottled.

Aroma of cane sugar with notes of dried fruits.
Flavour of roasted malts with notes of dried fruits.
