LoveCaissa (873), Copenhagen, Denmark Dec 13, 2002 Pretty light brown colour. Very nice aroma of malt and nuts. Flavour is dominated by the malt and is lightly sweet, almost nutty. Tastes somewhat like a mixture of a pilsner and a Munich dunkel. However, the palate is not good with a too thin and watery mouth feel. Still, I wonder why this beer is so small in Denmark. I have never really heard of it, but it was definitely a pleasant surprise. Do not drink it too cold! This makes it quite bland. Mads Langtved (2246), København K, Denmark Jul 14, 2002 Funny beer with a bit of interesting different seasonings. Very malty and nutty. Has absolutely nothing to do with the Belgian Trappists. (In Danish munk ’munk’ means monk.) Hansen (1828), Randers, Denmark Jul 27, 2003 An ok malty beer to the price. Brown colored, ok head. Mostly sweet and malty. A little unpleasent aroma. Not much bitterness. stouby (1559), Holbaek, Denmark Jan 16, 2006 Bottle, at home (010202).
Light brown. Moderate malty (roated, caramel). Moderate sweet and bitter. Fair to the price. Papsoe (11030), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 8, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) This came out as a jubilee beer in 1995 but has managed to stay on the market. And rightfully so, because it’s one of Denmarks nicest, cheap lagers. Dark amber colour with a fairly decent head. Very nice malty character with lots of caramel too and a discreet hoppy finish. 181199
