COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kontinenten.

Bottle from Systembolaget, Haparanda. Clear pale copper coloured beer, dissapearing small white head leaves only a ring. Sweet aroma has caramel malts, bread, some floral hops. Flavour is sweetish with decent maltyness and grassy hops. Medium body. Quite pleasant combination of soft sweetish maltyness and crisp hoppyness. [#550]

(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 4 Oct 2012) Golden colour with brief, white head. Malty nose with bread, a touch of toast and grassy hops. Malty taste with notes of bread, hay, grass, a touch of vegetables and a dry finish with a decent grassy bitterness. Medium body, mainly dry. More or less an average macro pale lager.

330 ml bottle. 1467-03. BB 20/05/13. (Systembolaget) Arjeplog, Sweden.
Clear golden colour with small frothy white head. Mild sweetness, mild maltiness and mild floral hops in aroma. Flavour is pretty much the same. Mild bitterness. Not as useless as I thought.

Rune (6125) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JUL 1, 2012
330ml slim bottle from Systembolaget Kiruna. One-finger sized, white head. Thin, fragile lacing. Amber-gold coloured body. Pale malts and grass to the nose. Orange fruity hints in a modest flavour character on a malty backbone. Notes of sour malts to the ending. Crisp and soft in the mouth. Ok, without leaving any lasting impressions. Shared with Frau Eva at home in Tromsø, 30.06.2012.

gnoff (6320) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - JUN 22, 2012
33 cl bottle from Systembolaget, BB 16.10.12, sampled on June 22, 2012
Clear golden to amber color, big lasting off-white head. Subtle, sweet, malty scent. Malty, herbal, sweet, fresh, mineral taste. Some hops in there. It’s rather nice and refreshing actually, I had my negative thoughts when openign it, but no, it actually delivers well over what I anticipated, based on the breweries earlier releases I guess... Medium to slightly below medium mouthfeel, crisp, clean, medium low herbal bitterness.
This can be a very nice summer beer when wanting something for a session in the garden or after mowing the lawn. Not bad, not bad at all.
A surpring hint of ripe banana in the aftertaste, gives way to a faint lasting bitterness after.

Leighton (6960) - London, ENGLAND - JUN 13, 2012
Bottle at home in London (picked up in Stockholm). Pours a rich gold with a small, creamy white head. Nose holds a bit of toasted cereal. Light to medium sweet flavor, plenty more toasted cereal and dough, some toasty-grassy bitterness, very faint hints of metal. Light bodied with average to high carbonation. Pretty crisp to finish, some more toasty cereal and almost burnt grass, and a bit of rusty metal or copper, which isn’t too cool. Yeah, there’s a lingering rusty note that doesn’t thrill. Also some surprisingly abrasive bitterness. A good start but a mediocre finish.
