OleR (4605) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 25, 2009
0.5 L bottle from Systembolaget, Charlottenberg. A high and dense, yellowish head, upon a clear, dark mahogny body with a ruby glow. Modest aroma of sweetish, nutty malts and ripe apples. Taste is medium sweet, with a sugary maltsweetness and a note of roast and caramel. Noticable bittering hops and a hint of mild spices. Body is on the thinner side. Mouthfeel is slick, bordering on watery. A fine, lingering malty-bitter finish though. A decent one, but lacks some body strenght.

Bottle, 50cl - Semi hazy dark red brown beer with a large frothy beige head. Aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, dried fruit and hazelnuts. Flavor is malty with notes of roasted malts, red berries and dry hops. Medium to thin bodied beer, very impressive brew for being a Mariestads.

Gr0ve (2113) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 1, 2009
500 ml bottle. Dark brown, almost black, with some reddish hues. Very tall light beige head that clings to the glass. Sugary sweet aroma with notes of caramel and münchener malt. Grainy flavours initially, then a lot of sweet caramel. The sweetness is almost artificial. The body is more on the thin side and the texture is watery. Not quite sure what causes the initial sweetness. Gentle hops and a light bitterness come forward towards the finish.

Mahogany with a huge deep beige head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, ripe fruits, yeasty and caramel notes. Flavour was sweet with toffee, roated malt, caramel and ripe fruits. Finished sweet. Pleasantly surprised!
