oh6gdx (20217) - Vasa, FINLAND - DEC 22, 2005
Bottled. Ruby/amber coloured (kind of inbetween), small beige head. Weak caramellish malts in aroma. Flavour is roasted sweet malts with dark chocolateish hints. Roast, malts and hops in aftertaste. Reminds of Spendrups julbrygd.

TBone (12333) - Pori, FINLAND - DEC 20, 2005
Bottled (BB 05/2006)
Ruby red, small creamy tan head. Roasted, a bit papery and metallic, malty aroma. Chocolaty malty flavor, slightly bitterish aftertaste. Propably the best Mariestad-brew so far.

Emil (6066) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 11, 2005

sayravai (4667) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 5, 2005
(Bottled) Dark, clear cola color with a medium, foamy and creamy head. Very mild, slightly sour-vegetably aroma. Neutral-malty, moderately fruity flavor with toffee, some raisins and plums. Light to medium-bodied with medium carbonation. A quite boring brew.

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 13/20
Papsoe (25090) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 12, 2005
(Bottle 50 cl) Very dark, almost black with a reddish hue and a handsome, tall head. Full-bodied and dry with a malty, lightly burned touch. This almost resembles a dry, Scotch Ale. Heck, they make nice Christmas beers in Sweden. 210302

rickgordon (3843) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 17, 2004
Bottled. Dark red, almost brown. Vague aroma from fruits and licorice. Flavour brings dried fruits and salmiak as well, but moresome. Quite malty for the brand. Long bitter finish. Surprise!

   AROMA 5/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 5/10   PALATE 2/5   OVERALL 12/20
bark (255) - Linköping, SWEDEN - DEC 15, 2004
Bottle The colour is clear, dark red-brown. The compact, firm foam is two finger thick.

The taste is quite weak; there are notes of sweet malt and some bitter hops. Overall, the smell is quite neutral.

The carbonation is rather mild with small bubbles.

The taste is somewhat burned with some flavours of dark bread, neutral bitter hops and a touch of salt. The aftertaste is pretty long with a simple bitter-burned tone.

This beer got some nice looks, but not much more.

Soft, malty but fails to leave any pallet memories. Weak head and low carbonation. OK, but not much carachter.

   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 14/20
Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - DEC 11, 2004
Dark red, almost black colored. Little beige head. Sweet chocolate aroma with some roasted tones. Mild alcohol comes up too. Medium bodied, could be fuller. Flavor is roasted with strong chocolate, ends with mild carbonation.
