Brown, average head. Sturdy, malty body with hints of citrus and oak. Balanced bitterness, not very sweet, not very anything, but alright.

500ml Bottle - Dark amber/red in colour with a foamy head. Marzipan, bubblegum, dried fruit and caramel in the aroma. Sweet, fruity and slightly metallic taste with notes of toffee, fudge, marzipan, fruit cake and hops. A lot better than I was expecting and easy to drink.

Pours clear dark ruby mahogany with a creamy tanned head leaving nice lace. Good carbonation. Aroma is sweet malty, dark fruits, roasted, fruity, bready and nutty. Medium hoppy fruity mouthfeel. Flavor is hoppy bitter, a bit sweet, fruity, apples and slightly acidy. Tart fruity medium palate. Finishes with a very nice longlived fruity and tart bitter aftertaste.

Red/brown, clear, with thick tan head. Musty aroma. Medium body, lower carbonation. Sharp hops bitterness with long finish. Not very interesting.

Frovigalning (1309) - Örebro, SWEDEN - MAR 25, 2010
Appearance: 3/5 Clear amber liquid with a dirty white foam. Smell: 4/10 Sweet and weak smell of caramel and bread. Taste: 4/10 A synthetic taste of caramel and bread. Mouthfeel: 2/5 Stingy mouthfeel with a medium-thin body, medium carbonation and a warm alcoholic finish. Comment: I didn’t like this beer very much, it tasted to synthetic. Almost like it was made from chemicals rather then proper ingredients like malt and hops. I actually ended up poring it out in the end. Didn’t enjoy drinking it very much. I think these beer needs company to be able to work. Any kind of food should work, but don’t expect a Hallelujah moment.
